i am sorry to hear all the trouble your having. Im curious to see why it keeps breaking though.

+1. Did you use oem bearings? If so I would switch to toga or something.
i used Clevite bearings, i believe they were over sized which might have caused oil starvation, a lot of people here know what i've been through with this car, i love it but my luck with it is just not positive, it's been broken down more than i've driven it so i'm just done, i don't have anymore money to put towards it, there is no warranty on a privately built motor, so i'm gonna re-bearing it again, put it back to stock as best as i can and trade it for a BMW 135i and have a nice big part out sale

Very Sad to see another brother gone, well thats how it is when you modify a car, you take risk of everything to come out good, or bad also thats about how well you take care of your car and the maintenance. it looks like the person who did your engine did something wrong from the first time and now the problem is coming back again and again. good luck with the part out and good luck in the BMW world. you think MSPs are expensive to maintain, wait until you get your Bimmer youll know what it is to maintain a European German car. when you get or buy a car is not about who can purchase one, because anybody can buy a car no matter which one it is, obviously not a Exotic luxury you know, but not everybody can maintain them. thats the truth right there. my advice take your car to a professional place and get it checked, probably is something simple and not too mych money involved. Owing a Mazda is not owning a Bimmer believe me !!!!

Exactly, parts withstand alot more of a beating on a bimmer than a mazda.. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for..

I agree, but cars dont last long and so warranties, even Bimmers, wait until something breaks, or you have to do your brakes, or need to buy something for your bimmer, there is where your going to see the insane difference between Mazda and BMW. i agree BMW cars are stronger and better engineered but, that does not mean it not going to fail on you or is going to last you for ever, i had back at the days a 1990 BMW M3 here in Spain back in 1998, and men, things where cheaper back them than today, and every time i needed something for my bimmer it was insanely expensive, i still remember when i needed to change my spark plug cables, back them were 100,000 Ptas Spanish money, equal to 600 today, just for the cables, and you cannot buy them in any auto part, thats dealer only. men i know what it is to own a BMW and i can tell you is not easy to maintain, everything is mad expensive but, what the heck, if you can afford it go for it, i love BMW and my next toy car will be another 1990-1991 BMW M3, they are so freaking beautiful

Hey you have to hop on things like this when they information 1st comes out you dont wait for the thread when its allready been announced there is going to be a part out lol. thats msprotege.com 101 lol. Im not getting anything big believe me i allready have alot of the same stuff he has.
some stuff have been called for, priority is to re-bearing the rods and get it running, in regards to maintaining the beemer, with the money i put towrds the MSP it will be no problem maintaining the beemer, i have a badd ass job that supports me very well, i just can't stick with this car anymore, i love it so much but i just can't, be sure that i won't be leaving the forums though, i'll still be on here everyday and i'm gonna start a thread called "What have you done to your other car today" lol
