In light of all the bad news lately.. I received my j&s today.. But I still cant figure out whats wrong with my damn transmission..

So I finally got a new motor put in after throwing a rod in the old one. Installed motor mounts since I had the engine out anyways and it drives sooo much smoother now

im gonna take out the S.U motor mounts tomorrow.. to see if thats where my vibration is.. if it is.. they are going on the fs forum.. haha..

Yeah I've got vibration at idle, but it's cool because now I have a massaging chair (shady)

It's me that is the 2nd GACCer to have a spun bearing this week. Car is parked for the moment hopefully a short one, I also gotta come up with a radiator quick like. Anybody selling a stock radiator?

What happened - well obviously your spun a bearing but what were you doing at the time? I'm really beginning to think my current engine is living on borrowed time...

not too sure, I have been burning oil but I do check it and add when I need to. I just noticed it while driving that under light acceleration I had this knocking noise. Mostly I could hear it when I am driving next to something and it echos back at me, or I am a real quiet area like my neighborhood.



question, should I get Clevite 77s or the ACLs that Crossover carries?

Why not go oem. In a racing application i can see using aftermarket to possibly stand up to the load and fatigue. But oem is made to last. If your tolerances are within stock spec (correct bore), and assembled in a clean environment (ie no particles), they oem ones will last much longer.

You dont have some monster build where you need 'better' bearings. Im not going into the whole details unless you want. too much typing lol

unless your going bigger cause you have to rebore, then you kinda have to go aftermarket i suppose.

picked up a stock axel back exhaust to replace the corksport. hoping to quiet it down on the highway at 70mph. still have no cats though

From what I am finding it is still more expensive to buy the OEM bearings. i don't have a monster build but I am and will be running at an even higher than stock performance as well as the car is gonna be transitioned into mainly an autox/ track car most likely within a year.

I went down to visit a buddy of mine at who works at the local Mazda dealer at the parts counter and we made an exciting discovery. I placed an order for something that everyone says you cannot order or get from Mazda. I am not going to be specific on the part(s), but the order should be in on Wed. (April 16th). If the part(s) do show up on the 16th, everyone who owns a MSP will be happy and I will post part numbers.

I am not going to reveal the part(s) now, incase it is a false alarm. I don't want to have everyone going to the dealer and ordering these and then not getting them.
