What have you done to your MSP today?

put all the loose parts back on my msp today and rolled her out of the carport to clean it/start it for the first time in a few months. I think i started it a few times in september, but ran out of gas and it sat until today. i sold the ssafc from it and started it stock.. not good.. belching out smoke for like 20 minutes and struggled to idle.. the plugs that are in it aren't good i know.. and the coilpacks were swapped with my recent p5 aqisition but i cant be bothered to swap them back for testing atm. had fresh oil a couple weeks before retirement.
I think ill be in for more than just the tranny rebuild ect. I might be stuck with my p5 for far longer than i anticipated while i replace a bunch of engine stuffs too.
a little mad but i guess it is what it is. would have to start it far more regularly.

I kept my original one as my race car and the one I picked up is my almost stock DD. It only has some mild Tein springs, FMIC, Intake, and Mishimoto radiator.

That's the plan for this one, mildly modified DD. Basically what I already have lol but now I can mod my first msp more. Most likely will clean up the body and paint on the 2nd titanium and end up selling it or trading for a spicy or laser blue after a year or so.

I really feel like all the MSPs that are getting parted out currently are only the beginning. There are going to be more and more. I hope to snag at least one to try and save. Keep it close to stock and have the spicy as my heavily modified toy car that I can break every other week.

It's getting slightly annoying seeing people buy ones that have blown engines and part them out. There's nothing wrong with the chassis just buy a damn engine. It's not that expensive. Bastards!(zombies)

I messaged the guy selling the spicy front bumper on the MSP FB page at the beginning of last week, told him I'd paypal him the money Friday after I received my bonus check, message him Friday afternoon telling him I'd have it by afternoon and wanted his Paypal information and I got the reply, "I hate to be that guy, but someone said they'd buy it locally and it's easier because I don't have to ship it." He said he'd message me if they didn't come through... **** that. I hope he messages me just so I can blow him off. Or even better- Say, "Yeah, I'll buy it. Wait until ___day and I'll Paypal you the money" then just not do it and cease all communication with him just to be a dick.

People, man...

I don't NEED the bumper, but a factory painted spicy bumper isn't a common item to see and my bumper doesn't match and the clears coming off, so it would've been nice to have... Especially since I told the guy I would buy the damn thing and followed through on my promise to buy it. I ******* hate people.

Just paint it pref. You won't be able to just buy one that will straight up match.

Painting a tri-coat and matching it, after prepping and blending to match will be expensive even with my 'connections', but a used spicy bumper will be damn close and would have cost me a whole $150.

Edit: And my bumper is cracked all to hell on the bottom, right corner to boot.

A Mazda5 or the CX-7?

Yes. I have the MSP as a toy and the RX8 is my daily. Even though there is a backseat and "4" doors, I need more room. I planned on a CX7 Touring or GT, but have looked at a couple of 5's and really like them. Plus, they have less things to deal with, like, say, a turbo that might fail 1400 times and timing chain failures.. I am planning on spring/summer to get another car that is ''kid friendly'' and me being me means I stay with Mazda. Unless one of you want to buy a baby! I'll sell one! Lol.

Heh. It is difficult I know for sure. Though you can't always trust autobody to match it perfect either. Not.all of them have a sharp eye for color or the giveadamn to really mess with it. For most, what the computer says is what goes on your car.

Cracks suck for sure in urathane plastic. I've tried to repair that s*** and it just doesn't last. I'd say try to get the fenders too if he is parting the entire car. Those would be easier to blend than a bumper if the colors were so different.

Someone attempted to repair it at one point, but it didn't hold, so now it's zip-tie stitched together

Just got an eBay "GT2860RS". My friends WRX started knocking and needs a car to drive while it's getting repaired, so I made a deal with her. If she bought a turbo, she can drive it for one month while the wrx is down. It also has to be insured. And she's going to get some used tires for it. Its untuned right now running just the OE ecm. Boost is going down to, um, say, 5psi. If the thing even lasts for 6 months, I'm out no money for the turbo.

It's a special impact bolt, I would try to get one from a JY or a dealer not a parts store.

LOL, well now she's getting a new set of Kumho Ecsta ASTs instead of used tires. I told her used would be fine, but she insisted on getting new. I guess I'm going to get the engine out and rebuild it for her. I may even be able to get a clutch out of this, too.
