What have you done to your MSP today?

After thw write up on this forum ill be going sprint 500 as well. I guess I could sell my ssafcv1 right now for how long the car will be down...

I've been trying to sell mine for a month and even dropped the price down to $185 shipped at one point...

Now the car builds vacuum and not boost. Guessing my wg or have something really messed up. Weird that I had this car running 2 months ago and it ran perfect and now it runs great when iff the boost, but hardly runs when trying to get on it. Smh. Why are you so mean to me MSP?

you sure you didn't just blow another coupler? lol

I'm currently trying to get the car running on megasquirt. Wish me luck.

Can it only manage up to 21psi? I read that somewhere, but I'm guessing that you might be able to install an auxiliary MAP sensor if you want to run more.

I don't think I paid much for mine. I'd prob want $160usd for it. Car parts are like jeans. Half value once you use them.

My current one is setup for 21 psi but yes you can install a 3 bar map sensor.

The other 4 AFCs I've sold were gone within a couple of days at most and only about $100 less than retail, too. I've never had one listed this long.

you depleted the market

Apparently... I am torn between standalone and piggyback. Haltech or FTC. Maybe I should just keep it at 16psi and go with an FTC. Decisions, decisions. Because with more torque, comes more broken transmissions.

Never did sort out the slight vac leak but I reset the computer and put some fresh plugs in and the vacuum is closer to normal now. Although I know it isn't perfect as the tach is jumping ever so slightly and when the car is spot on the tach sits stone still at idle but since it's reading normal I will take it. And it's running GREAT on 10psi with this slightly cooler weather.

Finally sold my AFC, so I'll be removing it tonight or tomorrow. Since the car will ultimately be 'dead in the water', I'll probably go ahead and remove the turbo this weekend. Since I sold my AFC, I think I'll go ahead and upgrade to a GT2860RS instead of going back with the GT2554R. Still, though, I don't know what I want to do about engine management. I can't use my shop as freely as I've been able to do in the past, so whatever I do will have to be done in my driveway. And that sucks. But the GT2860 is definitely my choice for the turbo. At least I've got that figured out.

Washed it and then broke out the buffer and some foam pads. Wound up going over it 3 times(A12/M26/M21) and then topped it off with a hand coat of M21. Polished the wheels and headlights too. Inside can wait until later.

The new Pope manifold is awfully pretty... I want one.

I'm pretty sure there will only be 32 of em. Unless he sells them all very fast.
Get in while you can.

Random question for those of you with forged engines. Did you reuse all your oem hardware or bought it new? I don't mean head bolts or things like that, I mean main bearing support plate bolts, oil pan bolts, transmission bolts, etc.

PLEASE use NEW head bolts....thanks!...oops, I misread ur post (drunk)

welp. im am one less ssafc so now i HAVE to upgrade to something lol. meh.. thats a lie. for the mods im accumulating right now, none of them really force more power from the car. so i coulld prob run it stock for a while with the bolt ones. gonna upgrade to a platinum sprint 500 though as id like to leave the door open to a gtx3071r down the road.
my build prob gonna take two years.. first year only being suspension repairs and exhaust stuffs, but ill prob pick up a second fs9 off torontojdm to build ont he bench for year two of the modlist. has anyone dealt with them before? my motor has 133km on it, but i wont lie, ive become a little lazy, pushing the oil changes quite a long time. i had noticed when i did the last one that one of the cams had some wear on the lobe next to the oil fill port.
buying a second motor doesnt really mean ill build that one, as the car is parked i can basically build the best motor from two.

I've decided that the GT2860 at 16psi will make the power I want and allow me to maintain using a Split Second, though I'll go with an FTC. No need to go standalone I don't believe.
