take it off and get the flange resurfaced its probably warped.
By resurface, I assume you guys mean put it on a mill and plane it off to the same level so it pulls up perfectly flush?
Also what would cause it to warp?
when awr welds they dont do spot welding very well and the heat from the welder causes the surface to warp.
Car tired to eat a curb this morning and lost.

Stood in front of it and debated parting out......then started thinking of how much I lobe my msp....so it will be fixed
in other news, I went and looked at my new dd and it will be mine tomorrow
yeah me too. I spoke with a few guys including 505 about the casting mark issue and nobody has had issues with it with this batch. and so far, I am the only one having issues out of everyone who got a manifold from the 2nd group buy. Also looking at the flange, it doesn't appear to hit anything at all. So, Im ruling the manifold install out of my issue.
argh what is wrong with you lol.
You don't find it strange that it runs w/o the maf plugged in?

yeah I do. It does the same thing with both MAFs I have, unless both of them are bad. But, the other one I have was tested before I got it. The only other thing is, I have read up on MAF issues and a lot of them say that unplugging the MAF makes the car either run off of other sensors, the ECU makes the car run off of the last known readings from the sensors or makes the car run in a limp mode. I don't know if that is true with our cars. I guess I can try another MAF just for the hell of it, but Im running out of options.

Its NOT strange.. the car will idle and rev up with the MAF unplugged... its normal. Now if you could drive down the road then that would be strange.
