What have you done to your MSP today?

Trying to pick up an MBC today. Who wants to place bets on how long the engine will last at 10psi? Maybe I'll just run 8.5... LAWLERSKATING!

Mine runs out fine on 13-14psi, but I have a magical blue box that prevents my motor from destroying itself, along with a deep sump.

No sir. My car is set up perfect now. Just gotta go to NC for a dyno tune and my car is done for a while. Only thing left is intake and head work, but that's coming at the end of the year, then I'm going for the stock block record. Maybe switch to an HKS GT25 eventually.

I thought you were going with direct injection?

That's for the methanol injection, but yeah, I am going to switch to DI after I get a custom sheet metal intake mani made. I fixed my current meth set-up, and got a bigger nozzle in. She's running great now!
 
What was the date you were coming to asheville again?

Should everything go as planned, 2-10-12. Just waiting on the P.E.P. downpipe to get here, and for my buddy to make a water neck spacer for me. If that all goes well the date should be the same.

My mistake, I thought you were talking about the methanol tank being blue. LOL Knock detection I guess?
 
Adam Vanhooser had his for sale. He was trying to sell it to me, but at the time I was going to leave the MSP stock.

That was an older unit, but should work all the same. The problem with installing the J&S now is finding the m8 to m10 step stud (I think that was the size) to mount the knock sensor with, as John and Turfburn (Steve @ NSN) had to have them custom made for our setup, and I bought the last two. One for me, and one for Adam.

do you have a build thread with your mods listed? sounds like an amazing machine you have. also, i found a step stud that should work and its an oem toyota part number. Ill look in my notes for the part number but its only like $3 when i last checked.

also, can anyone please help me?

when you hookup a j&s, what do you do with the oem knock sensor and how does it not toss a CEL and not pull timing?
 
Yeah id be interrested to see that. I put a much richer map and it seems to run fine now, but I was running the other map for over a month with afr at 11.5-12 under wot so that's odd.. I'm also considering that the wideband may be going bad.

And clearly I'm not boosting 15+ on a stock block.

Ok when i get home ill snap a pic off. its pretty easy. well its easier on the first install since the wires arent soldered in yet but still its nice to have. Mine was runing fine for about 6 months then the map went to s***.

Sweet thanks man. Yeah I've had it on for years and now its starting to have a bunch of issues.

No, no build thread. It's just an MSP with bolt-ons.

That may or may not be the right size stud, I may misremembering.

There's a spare hole tapped in the block below the IM that you use. Now the CEL thing I have no clue as I run a stand-alone.
