On pins and needles. I remember you saying you were contemplating things so I'm interested.
Yeah, went a new route.

I almost went this route recently...kinda glad I didn't. I love my mspDon't do it. I have both cars. Trust me.
You can get those sealing sleeves from the dealer or make your own with a piece of tire inner tube. Not a major F-up.
I had my oem pipes till last week
i'll have to check, I think it was just a strip of rubber on mine but yea I'll send it to yacool that's good to know. Ya happen to have a part number handy for that sleeve?
gotta extra SMIC sealing sleeve for donation? (yes)
cool that's good to know. Ya happen to have a part number handy for that sleeve?
well my brother has one, I have the spicy one, (after I had totaled my first spicy) and my brother got a sunset silver one with a blown engine and a ton of mods, but the guy kinda shortcutted everything so we've been fixing it up the last year or so (before I got my fmic in and before my dad cracked the front lip, once i give them a good wash and wax this year after I figure out this problem I will post a pic up of them both finally clean,) and they put the engine from my first msp into my brother's, but ya, here is a pic of them from last year lol, it's nice, because I can work on both of them, and I can't wait to get his driving soon, you get a lot of looks driving 2 msps around at the same time

well, just tried to start my brother's car with the MAF unplugged, same s***, I just got a check so I will be able to go and just buy one of those code readers, with all the times I use them I mine as well get one so I don't have to scramble around trying to find one all the time.
PM me if you find it dude. I've got a call into the 'local' MS authorized dealer for a part number & pricing..
***edit***
Part #13-104J is $71.49 !! oOn8 please HBO (help-a-brutha-out) if you find that 'cap' as the dealership calls it..
No way! Has to be a mistake on their part. Its 2 rubber bands basically. They cannot cost more than the turbo water return elbow.
Try this: 0000-88-C95 (found it in the how to section)
Try another MAF sensor. We're both in the same boat, and I just can't figure it out... lol
Here's my plight...
Removed trans to do the clutch. Put it all back together, car ran great for 2 minutes, then started bogging.
Had a code for the primary o2. Put a brand new Mazda primary o2 in it. Same s***.
Removed the battery and tray and triple checked my work. All sensors plugged in, no vac leaks, etc, looked over the harness for any damage, and everythings good.
Everything looks right. All Data is completely useless, by the way.
The car drove in my shop just fine, and now this s***. Obviously, I figurd it was something I ****** up, but everything seems to be ok.
I'm completely stumped
Dude, I SYN (s***-you-not) that is the price he attached to the diagram/illustration that was faxed to me. Wish I had a scanner to post it, but if you look on the MSP parts pdf, page 4, picture of the SMIC you'll see it's the round 'caps' by the inlet & outlet connectors that the dealer parts department guy quoted for the $71.49.
However, an on-line search of the PN 0000-88-C95, shows up as: GASKET,INTERCOOLER / Part# 000088C95 for $9.79
HTF can the markup be that much?! Or he was looking at the wrong piece...
