What have you done to your MSP today?

Attaching the 3rd bracing point at the firewall severely improves chassis flex.
Once your car is running right... I keep saying those 2 words about MSP's, running right... lol.... anyways, s***. Lost my train of thought.

Once the car is driveable (sounds better), go take some hard corners and notice the difference ;)

nice I was going to do a duel HKS set up, one on my cold pipe and one on my hot pipe, but was told that it even with the relocated MAF that it might vent too much air, and cause some slight stalling issues during shifts.. you have any problems like that? if not then I might go ahead at some time in the future and try that out, hell if anything I will just wait till I get the gt28rs, should be able to push enough air to stop any of that lol

never had a problem with mines, it works pretty good, you should deff do it!

lol nice, well maybe this summer when I have a little money once I start working again I will buy it, can't hurt and ya, it would be sweet, and really really annoying for people that don't like it haha

and ya I just realized that 2 bovs wouldn't be any different than a bov and bpv anyways, even if the bpv was recirculating, it is still venting air into the intake area, and since the MAF is after both bov/bpv, it still wouldn't count for it anyways, even with any loss of pressure, which isn't an issue, hmm, well that makes me feel better now that I realize that, once I get a paycheck in a month or so I will be mounting another HKS on, but this one will be on my cold pipe, should be nice :D and loud as hell haha

I traded my stock exhaust (j-pipe included) for a SLS j-mid pipe with hi flow cat and Magnaflow muffler. Sounds great.

and IPitboy777, for those Greddy Bovs, my brother has one on his msp but the guy that had it set up used it for recirculating, I am relocating his MAF sensor now since I finally fix all the other crap that was wrong with his car, but he doesn't have the attachment thing that looks like a horn, do you need that, or no? and if you do, is it just like the inserts for the HKS? I will check them out online, hopefully they are not too expensive, but just figured I would ask for now, also what size type RS bov is that, can't find it on PG and Greddy has a few different sizes...

Just got back from tracking the car at the NORA event. Sweetness!

well, found my brother's spare key, started it up after deciding to relocate the MAF since I had some time, and the damn thing won't idle, it just dies, I had to keep the pedal pressed slightly just to keep it going, I know that just relocating the MAF sensor should have done that, and when I had tried to seal up the gas leak from the fuel rail before it didn't have this problem at all, so I don't know what the hell is wrong.

does anyone know if the Greddy RS bov needs to have that outlet flange thing attached or no? it was recirculating before and it didn't have it on, but I just figured it was something for looks rather than function, since I can see the closed valve on the bov.... there is a check engine light and I need to see if I can get my bosses CEL reader since I can't drive the car anywhere... I just hope it's nothing serious, anyone else have any ideas.. it idled fine, the damn alternator belt sequels like a b****, but it did that before, even after trying to adjust it a bunch

ya, well that's what I did after a few tries, and that is what my friend said, my brother's engine bay is kinda dusty and I forgot to clean it after it was sitting around so it is very possible that some dust got on it while I had it sitting around, or trying to get new clamp things on it, but so that Greddy bov thing doesn't need to have that outlet piece on there right?, I'm talking about that kinda bell shaped thing for the outlet, it's just the outlet with the visible threads and stuff right now, but I can see the valve that opens when the pressure right (when it's suppose to open is what I am trying to say) so I think that should be fine, I will try to check the engine code to see what it is tomorrow at some point, wish those things weren't so expensive so I could just buy one myself. but luckily my boss has an unopened one lying around in his warehouse haha

Yea, you dont need to have the bell shaped thing its just for looks/noise. And just FYI, I have a code reader that I bought from advanced, was like 50 bucks

if the maf is put on backwards you'll run into that problem. i had a guy on base ask me about them and told me his problem and when i went and looked his maf was backwards.

ya I'm 99% sure it's not on backwards, I have checked it several times and it wasn't but I dono, I cleaned the MAF and it was still not holding idle and just turning off, so now I have to get that CEL read, I don't really know what the hell it could be, but hopefully the CEL will explain things

You are having the exact same issue I am.
Unplug the maf and crank the car, lemme know how it idles ;)
