What have you done to your MSP today?

thats why you use your ipod, not the iphone lol
but there's a guy on evolutionm, net who used it on his X, and he showed pics and videos of him getting AFR readings from like across the room, so im assuming it works pretty well

Stock motor went 118,000 miles at 14 psi since I've owned it. Either Mazda accidentally build a Goliath motor and put it in my car, or I just got lucky. And by Goliath, some people have popped them at 7 psi at 50k miles...or less. What I find surprising, is that many people here said my car was a ticking time bomb two years ago, with my mods, and that it should be any day it blows. Well, I guess in a roundabout way I proved all the disbelievers wrong. Just sad that it blew up going 25 mph under mild acceleration. Turned a corner and she popped. Oh well, 450 hp and a forged build is ahead of me. Thanks for all the kind words everyone. It is a sad day for me, but she will be back and running in no time. I guess the Volk Te-37's that I had ordered will be put on standby.

dunno.. those are pretty close..

i guess the efficient area is bigger but i wouldn't call that LOTS bigger. im sure im missing something.

its def an upgrade though...not much of one, but an upgrade non the less
if i ever save up enough money to buy 440's and make a custom DP ill be running a t3/t4 w/ 61mm compressor
already have the manifold...and built engine lol just need some cash

Looks like I'm getting a Speed Circuit engine very soon. Paycheck was nice and fat!

It's debateable, but I think it makes more sense than running on the cold pipe. You can relocate the MAF and keep the BOV far away from it, and also you will be venting hot air (if you VTA) instead of cold air that has already gone through the intercooler. There may be other benefits that I am unaware of.

You hit the 2 main ones. Venting off hot air doesn't make a LARGE difference, but if you cool air, only to release it, you're wasting intercooler efficiency. The larger concern is turbuliance in the cold pipe effecting your MAF readings.

Keep in mind though, that I have my BOV about 6" away from my MAF on the cold side, and all in all, it runs pretty damn well, so I do not practice what I preach in this aspect, simply because getting the BOV on the hot side isn't practical for me.
