Guys cool down with this loose lug nut thing...

Flyin, you check your lugs after 25or so miles? That's what you are suposed to do. And are the spacers hubcentric?

haha, flyin you tease them all, and don't expect anything back.. lol

Lol, I take it all in stride. I dish it out and FULLY expect it in return! Gave me a good laugh today, though. Ya'll are dickheads, but you're MY dickheads!

Its all good outlaw... It was closer to 50-ish miles when I checked and noticed them loose. I just did another 25 miles on them and am going to take the torque wrench out there to check again. The spacers are hubcentric for sure!

after putting on the mx-5 rims and new lug nuts, i ran into a very similar incident. I was just about to head across town for work when i heard a very odd (and very bad) grinding/rubbing noise coming from the rear. (Interestingly, I didn't have any problems with the fronts coming loose either.) Since putting on the new lug nuts (and torquing them down!) they had worked themselves loose to the point of scary. I limped it into Car toys, and had to wait for dad to come to the rescue with the jack and torque wrench. I'm scared to think what might have happened if I had tried to get any farther, since i first heard the noise on the freeway. Bottom line.. They don't say re-torque after every 50 miles for no reason!

So I can only find one vendor who offers in-channel window visors for the Protege, but they don't offer them in the smoked/tinted version. Just clear plastic more or less. And I don't think I will be able to live with the kind you stick to the door... You think I can use VHT Night Shades (Stuff used to tint tail lights usually) to spray these in-channel visors with good results and give them a good tint???

haha, ya that's good, this is a good place for that lol

oh and also today I was driving around campus before putting my car back in the parking garage and came around this tight corner going on a skinny "road" with a car at the stop sign.. cut it a little close and gave my car some gooood curb rash.. it came off the little side of the curb and made a nice little Pop sound.. checked my tire though and it was good, little curb rash added to that back pass. wheel (gotta get that fixed sometime soon) and I think since I have the coilovers set to stiffest setting it was just as if I hear it bottoming out..sucks balls but oh well, just glad nothing broke or fell off, at first it sounded like it hit my bumper and it cracked and fell off! lol

let's see...what did I do. I finally installed my AWR transmission mount and AWR passenger mount. Man, what a difference. Now, I have a complete solid mount setup. I still need to install my steel braided clutch line and TWM shifter bushings. Just bought a set of Tein S Techs from a fellow member on here too...Can't wait to get those. I can finally get rid of the hideous stance my car has now( high in the front and low in the back) lol. Once I get the springs put on, I may go wingless(headbang)
