What have you done to your MS3 today?

Oh no slicks. I need my axles.

2.2 60'.

I predict 13.2 @ 115 lol

It was a couple years ago but last time i ran the track was very good. and i staged with the Nittos
all i could smell was my clutch when i was in cool down.

i would love to see 13.2 from one of us folks. Thats moving along very nicely indeed I think .

Lol I ran a 13.7 @ 107 last year

Realistically the car is a low 12 car with some grip and a good driver

That what i figured. Low 12s for you !!!
if you can get it hooked .
i ran 13.749 @ 101 back in 08 ithink . Its posted up on Dragtimes under mazda3 .
I think i rolled it out in second . stock tires and ETS 3.5.
couple years ago i was at 21lbs and thats when i had trouble with the clutch then axle etc
Its all the driver mod though
I need one !!

Yes they do . really brought that track back around.

any ways
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Enjoy the holidays and the family. eat too much drink beer an watch football the way god intended!

Rec'd my Corksport fuel pump upgrade , beer bottle opener , and awesome tee.
Very well done Derrick and company.
At the outset i am fairly impressed with the attention to details.
Domino , when the weather turns back towards summer i will need your experienced self to get the upgrade done and hope you are still willin' to help me as soon as the salt is washed away.
74500. put about 1500 on her this year . next year i will get another 10 k of rock and roll from her though
Time to remove the ETS 3.5 and sell it for real.
any one black anodize their intercooler ? nice heat sink and stealthy too .

Anodized aluminum (aluminum oxide) is very poor conductor of heat compared to bare aluminum. You would probably hurt the IC's effectiveness, if only slightly.

The contribution of radiation ('black body') heat transfer is basically negligible at the temperatures your IC might see anyway.

I don't think you'd gain any performance benefit from anodizing black, or anodizing any color. In principle you will hurt performance, but probably not enough for you to care or even measure.

Probably all you would do is provide a nice backdrop to highlight any chips or scrapes that the IC gets.

well thank you for that helpfull information .
I was reading up on technical electronic vocabulary in a glossary supplied on line for something specific and came across anodize. It was described as use in heat sinking devices . I have seen the application on amplifiers and some power supplies.
Then i tied that to some of the pieces my son had brought home to show off .
He is a lathe machinist specializing in close tolerance optical devices . i really like the look of anodized.
well i guess i might look a liittle deeper into it. ( i can get a decent deal for some quality work ! )
I appreciate the advice James . Thanks
Eric
ps you are just jealous i am going Front mount arent you ?
LOL : )

My reasoning in the background of all that had been to consider a black front mount.
and the goal was to NOT be seen actually .
But i had not thought of stone chips. even though i could just touch them up with a thermal paint i suppose.

Sure thing!

If you wanted to hide the FMIC, painting isn't a bad option. The trick is that you only want to paint the front-facing surfaces, not all of the fins inside the core. It should have a minimal impact on the IC performance while still being stealthy.

Mine's on mah keychain. :)

seems like we are well prepared for any project Mr D !

James I prefer function over stealth over bling.
I am going to meditate on this till April . i might start running the plumbing for the core on any warmish weekend before then though . I will have to ask the Son more about the anodize process and see if can be "masked off, of sorts ".

lol That thing has seen some use. Has some miles. It's actually curved up, from all the bottles it's opened.
Ithaca ,the gorgeous gorges and the brewery would be a nice NATOR gathering maybe. Such great driving from here to there. i was just talking to a buddy about jaunty to the G Curtiss museum in Hammondsport. I almost always drive to it after a Watkins Glen event. and get a soda .
Ithaca has some darned good beers . You have good taste it seems
