What have you done to your MS3 today?

Nah it won't make much of a difference for a car that is only a daily driver.

I used to use Mobil1, but switched to Royal Purple a while ago. I just didn't want any crude in my synthetic, but mostly personal preference. ;-)

It's only been a week since I took delivery of my 09 ms3.Since it's Thursday and also free day to work on your car at my dealer I'm going to wash it.I have a crystal white 3 and I'm starting to notice that the bumpers are off white(anyone else notice this?).Other than that I'm happy with the car since it was purchased by an older fellow who always serviced it at the local dealer.I bought it used obviously but it's a certified vehicle with....drum roll please........8k miles. He traded it in because he broke his left leg.Car is immaculate

The bumpers should be the same color, as the body of the car. If they don't match, chances are the bumpers were repainted. Do you have a CarFax for the vehicle?

the title may be clean but the car still could have been in an accident or had body work. clean title just means the car hasn't been salvaged due to theft or being totaled.

edit: also the carfax only shows reported accidents. if some one had their friend do a little paint/body work it won't show on the report.

The wheels look like Rota P1's Hyper Silver. BTW, I have I Mazdspeed license plate frame(+5 hp) lol!
Have you guys dynoed with the plate frames installed? Cause its all talk without the data. And is that whp or at the crank? If its crank reduce #s by 15% for wheel horsies
I have about ten sets of plate frames now on garage wall. It's pretty nice to have so many options.
If i want to change my tuning map i just switch the appropriate frames. 8 screws and i go from economy to full boost.
License plate frames are a Tuners secret performance edge. it's a fact.
HmG_, be safe and stay with what the owners manual recommends. They designed the car and know best. The Valvoline you picked should be just fine. What filter are you going to use? that is pretty important, dont go cheap. Glad you asked the question because the oil is the bloodstream of a vehicle. Healthy oil is happy motoring!
Nice looking wheels also MM.

Hey - Eric, I invited everyone from MSF over to my house warming the 1st of October. Guess I'd have to invite you, since most of those guys are from Rochester.

Air is continuous over the TMIC. I can't imagine whilst in motion any significant heat can build at speeds. It makes sense that air is moving faster once you open up the ports a bit more. I never thought of that.

yeah, your suckin in colder air, and more importantly more air mass, and cooling the throttel body off temporarily. thats where the BAT sensor is, and I am off the opinion that the supereffin hot intake manifold soaks heat into the TB and affects the BAT reading in that manner
