What have you done to your MS3 today?

Does anyone else get an overwhelming sense of a "sweet spot" when the temps are between 50-70 ? I had that on the way to work this morning on the highway, and it was nice

yes, tires are reasonably warm and the intercooler is happy. last time i was at the track it got up to 104 degrees! the morning sessions were fine but once it got above the lower 90s it was heat soak city by the end of the session.

I switched from IAT's to BAT's today and could not ******* believe how hot they were. 115-130 and I couldn't get them below 108.

I have an '04 N/A 3 and yes, definitely feel more available power when the temps are around 50-60*. It puts a smile on my face every time!!

okay i bid: 71,000. stock beat to s*** turbo. about 19K on twenty one pounds at 5800. Fifth gear is silly.
Hell ive have been on borrowed time, the whole time.
i have broke mounts broken axles and caused my clutch no end of stress. Tires? lost count.
And she keeps on pullin'. Motor is still stock.
Best fun car i have ever owned. Brings a smile much more often than not and nearly insane giggling on occasion.
If i could write the head engineer behind the design of the Mazdaspeed 3 ( i used to know his name) i would tell him Thank You for this car. It is all that and more.
I think that assures me of a thrown rod tomorrow. I will build another motor then. lol

Just got done torquing my motor mount bolts to 68 ft-lb. I kept having a weird vibration when I let off the throttle and coasted and I think I originally overtorqued them. From the quick drive to Chipotle, it seems like the vibration is much better but we'll see how it does tomorrow on the highway.

I agree with the guy above. This car is so much fun that it puts a smile on my face every single day. Is it a supercar? No. But to me it is. It has more than twice the horsepower of my P5 and is my first manual car. I have driven nearly 10,000 miles in it in the last 3 months and I plan on keeping it for as long as it will live. It's everything I want in a car right now.
