What have you done to your MS3 today?

I'm really liking the Hypertech by the way. Definitely notice the increased power out toward redline. Power doesn't drop off a cliff like before.

Break-in for the tune. I was told that I should try to drive conservatively for the first 50 miles or so after loading the tune before really thrashing it.

I've since heard from others that that is unneccessary and you can just go ahead and thrash it as soon as you load the tune.

There's debate about whether or not a car should be babied the first stretch of miles for the break-in period.
But from the arguments that I've read, though I don't really remember them, I remember that thrashing on it, although not constantly, is much better than babying it.

Cobb intake

Holy crap is this intake amazing, you can hear that turbo spool....drool. Next week H&R springs and my old 17" gloss black rota torques are going onto my MS3 from my old 06 Mazda 3.

Finally got a chance to wash her. She is white again! No longer a dull grey!
It was 40'F. It was OK though, my hands eventually went numb and I couldn't feel it anymore!
This weekend = high of 20'F-ish...

Excuse the extreme underexposed photo, the lighting was awful...

Why does a tune need break-in? It's just electronics. Is "break-in" used here actually just the computer re-learning how you drive?

I'm at 16,6xx. H&R spacers came in the mail today. In case anyone wondering where I got them from here is the link to optionauto.com. (cliky) Has to be H&R because is how I roll, how I get down lol.

Yes. It is re-adjusting fuel trims and such from what I understand.

Its hardware vs software. If you're adding hardware like a dp or intake the ecu is like "huh whut...okay lemme do this then"

With a reflash you're basically telling the computer what's up from the getgo, so there's really no break in

Of course...this is just a personal theory

Installed the TRZ transmission mount. Honestly, if it wasn't for the freaking battery this probably would have been my easiest install. Should have taken pictures where I used the jacks under my engine cause it didn't move at all. Can't wait to take it for a drive.
