Put my summer rubber back on. Snow on Tuesday, but sunny for a few days after that. I have the truck for when it snows anyways.

just installed a cobb SRI and turbo inlet. install was pretty easy, test drive coming soon. could not believe how bad the stock inlet was when i got it off! talk about a weak link...

Just did the same with the inlet lol. Its ridiculous how that thing is shaped.

I hand washed mine at work, then I was showering her off on main street, Newark ftw, I love those UD girls.
installed spin on oil conversion kit and prosport adapter kit to run my oil temp gauge (yet to be wired up)
Mind telling me how hard it was or a quick rundown of what to do? Im due for an oil change and im wondering if I can install it myself while the guys have the car lifted.

How "easy" was the install on the inlet? I've heard it can be a pita. I'll be putting mine on in about a week.

Inlet install is easy. Its easier than the CAI install imo. Hardest part is getting your hands on the stock inlet and pulling it out. Took me 30 minutes start to finish.

went to the poconos over the weekend and on the way home yesterday i saw three speed 3s lol... one true red with hella dark tint, one pearl white that looked pretty factory, and a MGM getting off the highway also pretty factory looking. anyone here? BTW i was on 222 when i saw them.
coyfish: quick steps on spin on kit install
- dump oil from sump
- at the top of the oil catridge housing, feel for a 15mm nut (loosen until fingers can undo) can completely be removed later
- theres a sensor that needs removing from the catridge housing (green clip) with a wrench, remove the whole piece from the catridge housing (unclip sensor + wire later or before to ease re-install on spin on housing)
- remove 4 x 10mm bolts from catridge housing to engine (have towls/rags around as a bit more oil drops from here) 1 of the bolts is a bit hard to get at but do-able.
- add spin on housing and fit everything up and dont forget to add oil
i took my time and had to go up the road to get a shorter 15mm wrench but it shouldnt take too long to do
i also added a fumoto oil drain valve, required an extension piece to clear sump (from fumoto also) - so now even easier oil changes.

id call myself a noob and I attempted inlet and got it in, few months ago I fitted up a CS downpipe and PG manifold too all by taking my time

took a quick test drive after the SRI and inlet install. everything seems groovy and i absolutely LOVE that i can hear the turbo now! some people have mentioned that you should take it easy for the first 50-100 miles to let the ECU adjust. any truth in this?

Yes, it's advised to give it a break-in period before womping on it. The ECU needs to learn/recalibrate. It's also a good idea to reset your ECU after you install and prior to break-in.

If your MAF tables are correctly calibrated for your tune, there is not too much to worry about.
If they are not correct, you should take it easy for a bit as the car has to calibrate itself.
With the TIP installed, I would take it easy for a few KM's. I'm not sure 50km are needed as my STFT and LTFT seem to be fairly stable after 20 minutes of cruising around.

cool... i'm just on the stock tune and the battery was disconnected during install so ECU is reset. i'll just give it a chance to adjust before i start mashing the gas again.
Spent the weekend installing BC coil-overs with SPC rear camber-links. One of the bolts on my front sway bar links was stripped out, so ordered a new one that will show up tomorrow. I still drove it around some taking it easy, you can definately feel more impact harshness and the road noise sounds a little different...looking forward to driving it hard to see how it handles now.
Hardest part of the install was probably getting the stock struts out of the lower sleeves on the front of the car. Back of the car wasn't too bad, just dropped the whole subframe and replaced everything. It's not worth spending an hour just trying to get that upper camber link bolt out on the passenger side.

^ nice one! i had BCs on my MSP, but went with H&Rs this time. how much are you dropping it?
