What have you done to your MS3 today?

what he's trying to say is that an accessport gives you so much power that you can launch your car to the moon.

or he was just being a dickhead

but all dickheads aside...yes it is an engine management system one can load preset parameters into, or make thier own, and read/clear codes, and read parameters, and all sorts of stuff

some consider it to be the best mod for your buck, others may say it's a manditory item after certain power mods (ie downpipe, changing boost somehow, etc)

some say it will improve gas mileage, some say in the wrong hands (inexperience) it will blow up your engine

you can buy brand new for close to $600, or the going used rate is around the low to mid $500's. terms to be aware of when buying used is "married" and "unmarried"

also known as: COBB accessport, COBB AP, AP, accessport

there...i just gave you a gist and saved you countless seconds using the search function and finding out yourself

that being said... it doesn't hurt to be nicer about people's comments/questions. we all have different levels of knowledge here. if everybody knew everything about cars there would be nothing to talk about.

Friday: Ordered JBarone's short shift kit and weighted knob.

Today: Ordered CP-E 60-duro motor mount.

I'm practically done buying (but not installing) stereo gear, so it's time for some mechanical goodies!

Let my new Father in-law drive my MS3 today, after i married his daughter yesterday!

Just had my can muffler removed and my racing beat dual tips re-welded back on after polishing and waxing the tips to bring back the shine. Also installed my magnaflow 3" straight through muffler in place of the Racing Beat Chambered muffler, man it sounds and looks SICK. My setup is now, turbo xs downpipe, turbo xs race pipe with magnaflow high flow cat, into a racing beat catback with the chambered muffler removed and replaced with a magnaflow 3" in/out straight through muffler. Ahhhhhhhh so happy. Also had the oil changed and went to FULL Synthetic Pennzoil Platinum! Yippee. My powdercoater let me know last night that my powder should arrive thursday, and then hopefully next weekend I will be dropping them off, and placing order for my tires!

curious why you modified the RB cbe...

Cause it was UBER quiet with the turbo xs stealthback into the racing beat, I couldn't even tell I had a modified car. I like some noise, I like the gurgle of the exhaust I had before with the oem exhaust with muffler/res removed and the turbo xs stealthback. It was like I went back to stock when I got the Racing Beat. I also did not care for the tone the exhaust produced, it was too "timid" sounding my opinion. So i messed around with removing resonator, then putting it back. Then removed the chambered muffler, put on straight pipe and the can muffler (sounded badass, but didn't like the can look). So then, today, I removed the can muffler and put the magnaflow where the chambered muffler was, and wallaa. The chamber muffler is the problem on the racing beat catback. I hated that thing. I am now 100% happy with my exhaust!

Good deal. Having the RB exhaust, I know what you mean by it being really quiet! I went from having a 2 resonator delete oem with test pipe set up to the RB, so talk about night and day! I was pulled over multiple times for having a "maladjusted exhaust" per the officer, so I gave up and got the RB. I do miss the old exhaust from time to time though!
