Istalled cp-e SRI and DH I orderd from PG. Taking it easy for 100 miles and will be monitoring afr, lift, kr and such. Will put pics up tomorrow. Loving the sound the SRI,PG inlet and bov is making. It goes something like this sssssssssssssswhoppshhhh lol.

I like how it all blends in.

To answer some of your questions, I did get an S2000. No need for a short shifter or bushings, power all the way to redline, handles like a dream, and I just finished averaging 29 mpg's on the last trip with some ripping around naturally. :) I also now notice how much work it was to drive the Speed3 in normal traffic compared to the S2000.

First modifications? 10% all around, Eibach Pro kit, and a gloss black shift knob. Then I'll wait a few months and go with either the Kraftworks supercharger or the SOS supercharger. If any of you feel up to messing with a 400+ Rwhp 2800 lb car, bring it :D

very nice, always been a fan of the s2k. my only issues with them are cost and practicality. i've got a wife and kid so my 2 seater days are either gone or not coming back for a while

but i guess if you want to race a 400+ hp 2800 lb car then wait for me to get my monster miata ;)

i am im gonna try to put it off as long as possible then plea bargain to 5mph over and no points. there was this one guy that put his court date for over two years, then when it was time to go the cop had been transferred! case dismissed!

I've been very lucky. Had a couple of close calls were the cop was trying to find a safe place to turn around and I hit a side road or exit before he could catch up.

Good strategy. I prefer to get things done asap though. More times than not, the cop won't show up. Depending on various factors (traffic, radar or laser, etc.) it might not even make a difference. Admit you were driving over the speed limit (saying you weren't automatically makes you a liar in their eyes) but weren't going anywhere near 80. If you're convincing and look the part, they'll buy it and you'll be on your way.

Hate to say this, but the Miata is a girly man's car ;)

It's a 2007 with less than 20,000 on it. Got it for $21,000.

older gens yes. newer ones though? nah... they're actually pretty badass in their own way. Don't let the lack of hp fool you. Being as low (and little) as they are... they FEEL much faster than they really are. especially with the top down. mazda even got the joker face grille right on this car.

I agree. Here's a nice looking one I found just the other day.

And here is an S2000 (unsure of the year). The two cars could be distant cousins.

Based on the front fascia, it's a 2004+.

I'm hoping in a few years I can pick up a low-mileage Mazdaspeed Miata as a project/track car. I'm already loading up my e-shopping cart at Flyin' Miata in advance. :)

cleaned the TMIC using a compressed can of AC condenser cleaner. didn't have much to do at work today. and for some reason the intercooler cover rubbed off the black pattern right onto the intercooler itself, and it's stained that way and wouldn't come off

no after pictures though, but it did get a little cleaner and debugged

You can call me a girly man to my face when you catch up to me on 129 ;-)

I'm just messing with ya! I didn't get the S2000 for speed, or I would have gotten a used '04 Z06.

If you have ever felt the silky smooth transmission, the linear power band or the amazing handling it has to offer, you will know why I got the S2000. It's a well rounded car in every aspect I feel.

Anyways, all of you go buy my used parts!!

Heh, sounds like an RX8. I did love all those things, but the 8 was too small for me. And I was scared of the engine dying.
