What have you done to your MS3 today?

Made these bumper overlays and put them on. They actually look better than I thought
they would.

Stalled it, embarassment set in. I was pulling out of a spot and maneuvering through the parking lot to get ouut on the main road, and didn't realize I had put it in 2nd at some point. So when I stopped and waited with the clutch pedal in I stalled it trying to engage 2nd from a stop

Also gonna call up the local parts department and get a price on new front brake rotors and pads, then check out tire rack inventory and see if I can put a set together for the same price or just a little more. I haven't looked at any oem prices yet, but some of the semi-ceramic stuff looked to be around $3-400 for everything?

Ill have to do some more trolling here on the forum to see what combos ppl are running that are near oem or slightly better. Not looking to go crazy, just want let dust and noise

I was letting a friend of mine drive my car and she stalled it twice... not realizing she had it in 3rd. lol It was cute. She dug it.

Nothig to the MS3 today . But a new right rear tire for the 5, and an alignment, oil change and 3 part fuel induction service. Oh and new rear shocks ! Blown at 30K

Stopped at a redlight next to an s60r and did a quick rundown of the numbers in my head, and tried to imagine which of us would get to the next light (1/4 mile ahead) first

The s60r is one of those cars that for whatever reason just didn't have the deserved amount of sales for what it was. Kind of like the pontiac g8

Why does this car go to s*** the more mods you add? The amount of rattles I get just after adding suspension. And it's cold today (36) and it's all I heard on the way to work. Ugh.

Agreed. I really wanted the V70R before I bought this car. If I could have found a nice used one in my price range, I would have jumped on it, but, alas, awd Volvo's just are't that popular here in TX. I still may be interested in the G8 platform if GM brings it back as a Caprice or Impala. How about an Impala SS wagon?

I've done a lot of the looking for you, LOL. I'm in the exact same boat--need both rotors and pads ASAP. Here are my findings:

--No sense in upgrading the rotor unless you REALLY want slotted for autocross or consistent track use. An OEM style replacement will do just fine and should cost around $200 for all around.

--OEM pads are more expensive than aftermarket. If you are looking for ZERO brake dust, it does not get better than EBC RedStuffs for around $200+ all around. However, if street performance is on your wanted list, check out Hawk HPS (or HP+ if you want more consistent autocross or track use).

--I have no affiliation with the websites/companies I am about to mention (I won't mention the one I am connected with...) but here are the best places thus far that I have found with decent selection and best, lowest prices:
1.) Black Mamba Motorsports (Hawk HPS pads at a good price)
2.) Crossover Auto (sale of EBC redstuffs)

--One last note, if you are serious about racing, check out Cobalt Friction brake pads. They are used by many Rolex Grand-Am series DP cars, and do have a street performance pad available. Serious cash though--about $400 just for pads!

I think I will be getting basic OEM rotors from somewhere such as RockAuto or a local auto parts store and then purchasing Hawk HPS pads from either Black Mamba Motorsports or SU.

I hope this gives you a quick and dirty basic rundown! Please let me know if you find out anything else...

Well you must have just missed my "quick brake Q" thread cuz I've since priced out oem from the dealer and checked out some sites

AutoX and any variation of extreme performance is out of the question. Also, I priced out some hawk ceramics with a semi-generic disk on tirerack, and was still about $50 less after shipping compaired to oem stuff. The dealer quoted me at near $300 compaired to the $240 for everything from the site

And although I have no formal experience with ceramic, I gotta go with what I've read so far. And it seems to be what I want in a pad. No more or less performance, with less dust and noise

Besides, I'm sure ill get my stock brake feel back once I change my fluid anyway

Claybarred my white Racing Harts and stored them for the spring/summer.

washed mine....

filled it up.....55 ******* bucks

gonna jam open the wastegate tomorrow and reduce throtte tables to 50% of normal

**** these gas prices

how about a 4cyl turbo with multi-cylinder displacement (chrysler calls it MSD). so only 2 cylinders are firing at a time during normal cruising speed!

you only need like 30hp to retain 50mph on flat ground anyway

im really wondering if i put the 0-60 restriction back ON the car via hypertech if i will increase my mileage, im having gas woes as well

doesn't help that i also have a 2010 ram 5.7 crew cab with a 32 gallon tank. between the 2 vehicles, its a total of over $150/week to fill up
