What have you done to your MS3 today?

Love the tails, hate the reflector blackouts. Arn't those the reverse lights you blacked out?

Yes, they are temporary until I can get Mazda's head out of their asses and order me the right part. They ordered the hatch tails with the keyswitch in them and charged me 80 for one 150 for another. I've had to go to three dealers to get this right and they are backordered. So for now, this is what I have to work with.

It looks much better in person, IMO. Pictures don't really do much for it. Are you talking about the bottom reflectors = hate material? Or the reverse lights?

<== confused

The parts directly next to your new LED tails (presumably the reverse lights, I don't know where else they'd be at).

Ah you said reflectors (which are on the lower part of the bumper). You're talking about the hatch/reverse lights. They'll eventually get changed out, they look better in person. At least I like them, for the time being.

I'll keep my sprayed tail set for shows.

^^may be an option, thanks!

i also may try to just take the emblem off, cut some sheetmetal and epoxy it on to the cap

I took mine off the stockers today, and was suprised to find one was different. rusty on the back, lower profile logo, slightly warped. clearly a replacement, but whether aftermarket, or a different year??????
I post some pics later

sheetmetal disc is ok, or a little dab of bondo

I installed my CP-E Dashhawk mount. I have my doubts as to its longevity, and the fitment wasn't 100%, as I had to press HARD & hold a LOT to get it to conform to the curve above the vent, but we'll see how it holds up long term. I just have this vision of me, a rag, and a quart of Goo-Gone getting to know my dashboard by the end of the Summer. If not, I will absolutely sing the praises of this little unit, happily eating my words.

Agreed, mine is "off", but i'm dealing with it basically. I don't stare at it enough to need it to be perfect, but i'm anal with stuff like that.

Daddy, you really should invest in a DH. Truely important to diagnose anything on the car.

installed PTP FP internals...wowserz what an awesome result. no more fuel cut! install took a little while with some torn up hands, but it was well worth it. and the cherry on the sunday was that the car started right up, no idle issues, no CEL, and break in almost wasnt even a necessity. i started slow and steady and after 15 miles i got on it a little bit and everything was perfect.

um, you shouldnt be pushing the internals right off the bat... the instructions say 100 miles before pushing it over 4k-5k rpm... took me to 200 miles before it would hold pressure.

Even if you were able to hold pressure and not run into and fuel cut I would wait till you put some more miles on it.

oh trust me im not pushing it I got on it just that once and after that i took it easy. i put about 50 miles on tonight just cruising around.

Tried to install the new GROM for my 09 and it failed. Wel had to turn it up to 55 to hear and it was really distorted and garbled.

Tried to install my Parrot kit, I appear to be missing ANOTHER F***ing harness. $400 for BT, never again.

Got my Kuda iPod mount in and the DICE G2 Cradle mounted on it. I did special order red stitching since mine is an 09 speed and they don't normally come in that.

Got some new HI Beam bulbs in from E4 performance.

Hope to order the switch box and Sirius after this GROM and BT get straightened out.

Nothing new today, but tomorrow I pick up my wheels after 4-5 weeks of waiting! Small teaser:

My MS3 was still at Mazda so I took the Cobra to the first auto x. I finished 3rd of 5 behind two cars on r-comps when I was on crappy Toyos. Spent a lot of the auto x sideways and smacking cones since I'm not used to how wide the car is. Not to mention it was a narrow course.

Can't wait to get my car back.
