What have you done to your MS3 today?

Traded it and came back with 4 more cylinders and 3.7 more Litres:

Nice, really. But I'm still partial to my MS3

I loved my MS3. This was something I had been looking at for a while, and with warranty ending on my MS3 soon I decided to pull the trigger. I got an awesome trade in value so it made sense to me.

oh me too, but its not a bad upgrade to fit kids into. better than a minivan!

There will NEVER be a minivan in my driveway. No kids yet, but for sure a couple in the future. The F150 or FX45 will have to suffice then.

ill rock a minivan when it comes in the srt8 package lol

I like the G8 a lot, but it didn't have as nice of an interior as my 05 GTO. And I've had a gas guzzling TBSS too and it wasn't very fun either, regardless of the power.

The G8 (preferrably GXP) is a pretty sweet ride... but far from perfect. It's RWD which means you're pretty much F'ed in the winter (if you live anywhere north of the Mason-Dixon line). The 6L sounds good on paper... but looks bad at the pump. As countless cars (including the MS3) have proven, it's not about the size of the engine or the amount of HP. In addition to many other factors, the hp/lb ratio plays a big part. That's why these huge american cars with tons of hp often register the same acceleration times as the lighter imports. But I'm stating the obvious. After all, this is a mazda board! lol naturally everyone already knows this.

But yeah... the G8 GT/GXP would have been on my shortlist of cars to buy (if I needed to haul a family around and lived down south). That said, the lack of nav was a glaring omission for a car in this class. The quality of the interior was also subpar. But for the money, you really couldn't find anything that could even come close. (especially at prices GM was willing to let them go for towards the tail end.) Nowadays... being 'used' (with no mfg rebates or any of that BS) it seems like the cars are being sold for about the same as they were new. Those that got in at the right time got the deal of the century. I had bargained a GT down to $24k! F'in crazy... sometimes I regret not getting it. Then I drive my car and am reminded how much more fun it is.

PS. As much as I like that plate of yours... aren't you sort of asking for trouble? I mean, do you flip the cops off when you drive by them too? lol j/k

Because the point of this thread is:

What have you done to your MS3 today?

And he responded with the relevant answer that he actually traded it in. This spurred a new conversation among others who can relate or have similar interests in the poster's vehicle, or vehicles like it (the beauty of hobbies and car enthusiasts).

It's not like it went on for 10 pages. Take it easy bud!

If you want the limelight - what did YOU do to your MS3 today?? lol

i'm not here to argue or to take the limelight... i'm here to see what people are doing to their MS3s! obviously the pontiac/mini van/jeep conversation bugs the s*** out of me, but i'll just hold my breath until it's over. and don't worry, you'll see plenty more of what i'm doing to my ride....! aaaaand, i'm done.

Well I will eagerly wait to see as I like your MS3 a lot. (You and your MX-5 wheels damn you..almost bought a set from someone as winters...they wouldn't let them go).

Maybe i'm so de-sensitized because we have "random threads" in the regional section that will fluctuate topics so severely, off-topic banter doesn't bother me anymore.

It gets a little boring talking about MS3's all the damn time, considering there's only so much you can do to these little fuckers before you're broke, or still wanting something more that the car isn't. So, you're left to enjoy it for what it is.
