What have you done to your MS3 today?

you know lara, i've noticed we've both been concentrating on appearance mods more than performance stuff. i think you and I are on the same page. i wanna stand out but not in a bad way. i just wish i had money to buy these wheels i really want but are wayyy too pricey right now. it's either my girl's birthday present or be selfish and get more car stuff. I'm not that suicidal lol i'm customziing a rear lip right now and hope to get it done soon. i'm fiber glassing one and hope it turns out well!

here's one more angle of that little white part above the window that i didn't want black

Yeah, I think performance-wise this car is amazing.. and I honestly don't want to mess too much with a good thing. I will eventually get myself more heavily modded as far as the engine goes. My main focus has been suspension (hence the coils, sways and bracing) and appearance. :)

well, put my cpe prefilter on, swapped cpe intake filters, washed old filter and stored it. Rotated tires and found a ******* nail in the rear right tire. Off to wal mart to buy a patch and plug kit.

well, while I am at it I guess I will change the oil and try to find out why my ******* sway bar is creaking.

edit:
got the oil changed, turns out the nail didnt pierce through the tire, YAY!

need to do my damn motor mount.

Just installed Magnaflow cat-back system on my 2008 MS3 and love it. Sounds better than the stock one and better than the MS3 you order from dealer Out the door only cost 650.00 for everything.

Installed denso step colder plugs factory gapped. nice change in responsiveness and engine at idol MUCH quieter. In the mail is my spin on oil conversion kit along with the sandwich plate adapter. Also in the mail is my new awr rear mm to replace medievals bad attempt at a mm. anti vibration molecules my ass. and washed and detailed today as well. big day! here are some pics...

I will eventually get a set of those, but not that small. I want a set of 17x8 with 48 offset. Very nice to look at and very light weight.

What car are they for?

nice car dude.
the front bumper bottom lip, did you make it yourself from home depot part?

Mine does that too. I think one of the endlinks is ******.

In the first pic you can see where the bushing bolts are installed. The bar sits low and was rubbing on the cross brace. Squeeking.

In the 2nd pic you can see I lifted the bar off the cross brace, see the bushing bolts, and no squeeking since. Been a year.

I used loctite and all the bolts and torqued the s*** out of them.

May not work in your case but have a look.

i parked it at the local subaru dealer and went in to do a thurough checkout of the sti they had in the showroom. i think i saw my car cry a little and mutter something to the tune of "say it ain't so," or something like that. im not a very good lip reader

i think i like the sti's seats better. they have the same alcantara with leather but it's not perforated like the mazda's. wonder if that wears better, certainly would be easier to clean

I have a fog light out and need advise on what bulbs to get. I don't want to go HID with the fogs or yellow. I want a hyper white with a hint of blue and want it to be a direct plug in replacement for the stock bulb. I'm not looking to make them usable as in real fogs but to brighten them up a bit with a hint of blue. I see LED bulbs, stock style sylvania hyper white, Luminics etc. I want the hint of blue so they will match the HID lights I plan on putting into the low beams, plan on getting 5000-6000 for the white with the hint of blue and will be 35 watt.

There are so many places to buy from. I'm hoping for some advise on what to get and where to get them for the best price.

I'm a total noob when it comes to lighting and appearance mods. I've spent the last two years working on GO and now it's time for some SHOW.

if you really wanted the coloring you could just get some bad eurolites, the kind you might find in the pepboys ricer section alongside the "type r" stickers or fake bmw gills. only problem is they don't really last for s*** and produce probably half the light output of the stocks

but they would have the color you're looking for, and they are direct replacements

Received some new toys in the mail over the weekend and got them installed. Spent a few hours Sunday installing SU Boost tubes and the COBB turbo inlet. Damn car sounds like a jet taking off now when you kick some boost in, and you can tell it is slightly more responsive.

Also waiting to throw in some aluminum shifter bushings this week.

Sylvania Silverstar ULTRA bulbs match the O.E.M. HID color (once the HIDs are up to temp) quite well (it's what I'm using in my high beams and fogs), but I think oaklandopen is right...you're going to be hard-pressed to find a quality bulb with more blue in it than that...(Hella makes a bulb that is approximately the same color as the Silverstar ULTRAs as well, IIRC).

well, while I am at it I guess I will change the oil and try to find out why my ******* sway bar is creaking.

If the front sway is creaking give up. I havnt been able to get rid of it. My endlinks are fine. I pumped the brackets full of grease too.

Ive found that the front only creaks when cold, after driving a bit it seams the grease finds its way around and the creaking stops.....

I have a ticking/creaking from my dead pedal area at speed (60+mph) that Ive been trying to hunt down for the last month. Probably some tab i broke behind the fender liner when doing my mudflaps or something.....driving me nuts. Anyone else have it?
