Had my serpentine tensioner pulley replaced. The "whirring" noise is gone at idle. Car sounds new again. No more squealing at start up. And I'll stop eating up belts.

Went to the track (road course) to have a bit of fun and test my new RE-01's (tires). Even went off the track trying to be Jensen Button. Anyway this playing around caused a vibration and clunk noise at start up. Turned out the bolts on my SU rear motor mount had loosened themselves during my day of play. Easy fix!

Also on the way home I almost got pulled over. Passed a cop doing 10 over. He was hiding on an on ramp. As soon as I saw him he started to move. Got in my lane and was catching up. A van pulled in between me and him and the cop chilled behind him for a while and then pulled him over for something other than speeding. I about messed my pants.

How are you liking those RE01's so far?

They are a great improvement over the stock tires. This is the only car I've driven at speed and only on these two tires. I don't have much else to compare to but the grip is dramatically better. Also the RE-01's feel much smoother on regular roads. They are also a decent wet weather tire. Drove on them in the last Auto-x in the rain and had a lot less sliding than anticipated.
