What have you done to your MP3 today???

Getting angry, because I guess only 1 company sells in-channel window visors for the 99-03 protege sedans. And they aren't tinted. O, and they cost over $100...

I am wondering If I could modify some other ones to make them work in channel, or if I should just paint the in-channel ones. I'm not sure how they would turn out if painted, tho. I would really just like some tinted/smoked ones. wtf. (pissed)

The Evo Hood is made by Fiber Images. I bought it from Crossover Auto.

Thanks found it. Sorry asking a lot of questions, did you build your engine yourself? Or did you have sam do it for you. Also I've been thinking about getting the CS rad, did you notice anything diff when you put in?

Vice Grips can work. Usually the best way is to use 2 nuts sandwiched together, tho. Does that make sense? Thread one nut onto the stud and then another. Tighten them so that you can get a socket onto them, and proceed to loosen the stud. There's probably other ways as well, but this method works quite well. Especially when the stud doesn't want to budge. And you don't mess up the threads on the stud this way either; in case you need to reuse it down the road...

Hmmm I'll have to try the nuts, but I tried the vise grips and that failed. I can't get the damn studs of the s-pipe and exhaust side of the turbo.(pissed)

The best way to remove a stud is by the way I described with the 2 nuts sandwiched together on the stud.

And in regards to the smoked ones, those are the visors I was already speaking of. They offer a legit "Smoked" version for many other cars, but only the "Light Smoke" for the protege sedan. The "Light Smoke" as in the link you posted, is basically completely clear. You can see the difference between Smoked & Light Smoke in the pictures on that link... I may buy those and use VHT NightShades on them tho. Two coats of NightShades should give those a good tint...

Idk, I'm trying to acquire some used currently. $115 is steep, but we'll see. I'm interested in the iSport CF ones, but $200 for window visors is even crazier than $115 for window visors!!

Inching along. Mount/Balance/Valve Stems for 2 wheels/tires = $25. Paint gets applied tmrw, I hope. Then Monday I will adjust the rear camber, and get it all aligned.

How many days should I wait to mount the wheels after I paint?

I would wait at least a week for the wheels to cure really well. Afterwards when you go to get the tires mounted tell them to be gentle because they're painted. Talk to the manager to make sure he knows otherwise a regular sales person might not listen to you.

My engine was build by a Mazda mastertech and I before I met Sam. I had the AWR Radiator, and just recently got the PWR. Anything different like what?

As you can see in the pic above, the tires are already mounted. I mounted tires first because I don't trust them to not F up the paint... I actually still have a little sanding to do...

What color are you painting them?

I guess it's gonna be a graphite... Haven't bought a base color yet tho. Have primer & clear, but I'll probably use a graphite engine enamel paint.

i would sand it by hand with some 400 so you dont see all those marks from the dremel
and a couple nights to cure in some warm place is fine, just make sure you do light coats and leave 10 mins in between coats, if u do heavy coats or dont let the paint flash long enough etc.. it'll take longer to dry
