What have you done to your Miata today?

Not today, but:

Video from this weekend. Finally a warm day to get some running in on the new tire package. I'm still very much getting to grips (hur hur hur) with the grip levels on these things. The last time I was dropping a second plus per run was back when I left ST for Prepared. It's that big of a difference.

That's queued up for my fastest clean run, all the others are slower.

Drove mine to work. Gotta clean it tonight to get ready for the Motors of Mayhem show Sunday with the Mazdaspeed Pittsburgh guys.

Took it to the car show on Sunday. Made the drive without a hiccup (for the most part). Even got close to 30 mpg on the trip.

Driving around on Saturday I realized this car really suffers from elevated IATs on hot, sunny days. It was in the mid 90s - I know the black hood doesn't help, and A/C sucked whatever power was left. I felt like I had about 50 hp.

It was a huge difference driving this morning. Even with the A/C on I was back to 100 hp ;) About 25 degrees cooler and no sun made all the difference.

Not sure - I don't have a gauge - the OE dummy gauge was in normal operating range.

Sunday was clean/polish/wax day. Both the Miata and the STi got polished and waxed. The Miata had a year's worth of rubber scuffs and cone marks to clean off. :)

I busted out some sand paper and shaved the stupid lettering off the rear tail lights and side marker lights. I can't believe I waited to long to do this...

And, a picture after I washed/polished/waxed the whole car:

Definitely worth it. I was worried that it looked worse until I hit it with an orbital polisher though. So if you don't have one be prepared to hit it up with some elbow grease to bring back that plastic sparkle.
