What have you done to your Miata today?

Ah. So what is the test pipe going to do to the sound/volume?

Did some more to the headlights. Projectors installed, lens and housings rejoined, rubber gaskets installed around outside, lens polished and X-pel covers installed. The last was a PITA, at least the first one was. Second went a little better, I used a technique similar to putting tint on windows and it worked well. If you ever do this be sure to use a hairdryer to heat the overlay while working it. The NB headlight has a compound surface so without heat the overlay will not lay properly.

Drove mine to Hanover, MD and back over the weekend. Top down the whole way. Got her first speeding ticket too. Stupidity / impatience on my part. Sneaky ninja cop-like tactics on his part.

Headlights are installed, working on the connections now (well, not RIGHT now!). I think I have it all connected properly, just have to do the power and ground wires. The power is the issue as I want a good connection but one that is hidden. One weird thing is the TRS harness only has one connection to the stock headlight connector.

Edit: connections all made, I have low beams but no high beams. No power to the solenoid connections, I tried switching some wires around per info I found elsewhere but all that did was blow the cabin headlight fuse. I have a thread started on HID Planet to see if anyone can help me out. There is a dearth of info on retrofits for NB Miata.

The TRS relay only uses the stock headlight as a switch, so it only needs one connection, it pulls the power from the battery

as to the high beams, i've got the same problem with a guy from clubroadster whose headlights i built, he's also using the TRS harness and has no highs at the moment

I'm still driving mine, went to Cincinnati over the weekend and drove like a champ, but now I'm sick since I had the top down. Got 28.7 MPGs with a passenger. My knee didn't hurt during the trip since the driving position is much better after the foamectomy, I only had mild ankle pain. Also, I used a new pair of shoes that are really comfortable, more than the Pilotis... the brand is SPERRY

I can drive forever in my Prototipos. I can drive for 10 minutes in the Avus' before I want to throw them out the window. Most uncomfortable shoes I've ever bought I think.

Dude, you should have gotten in touch. I'm just south of Cincy.

I went ahead and swapped out headlights for the stockers for now, still waiting on anyone to post on my question thread. If nothing by the morning then I'll just call TRS. Also got my washer bottle installed, since I have never seen anyone else mention this the washer pump is LOUD due to the new location. I have to pick up a hole saw to cut a hole in the cowl cover for the fill neck, we'll see if that helps the noise level.

Odd, I love my Avus' and I can wear them all day long. It took a bit of breaking in and initial stretching (remember they were too snug at first), but they are soooo comfy. Of course the Prototipos are pretty damned comfortable too, but I like the little gel heel support in the Avus'.

As a side note, the Miata does not like starting in cold weather... At all.... It takes me a couple tries and even then I get a nice backfire. I hate my neighbors anyways, so they can enjoy my noise and eat it. lol
