What have you done to your Miata today?

Anyone ordering parts for spring?

For me:
fan motor for the radiator
rebuild kits for the brake calipers
SS brake lines

Hoping to get the calipers PCed before the rebuild.

Have my 1st track day on Apr 30 at Calabogie

Nothing planned except for mounting the summer wheels and driving. Have thought about painting the calipers but would prefer to buy another set and have them powder coated. This would reduce my down time and the powder coating will be more durable.

Replaced pads and rotors on all four corners last year.

So as I posted in my build thread, the use of a all weather cover that’s supposed to breathe, really didn’t work well. I had 3 condensation spots under the clear coat. I tried drying them out with a hair dryer, but it wasn’t hot enough.
Went to my trusted friend for throw away tools and picked up a 17$ heat gun on sale for 10$. And it worked! At one point I thought I had overheated the paint as a saw a distortion 😬😳. I quickly threw my cool damp drying towel on the area and it went away! 🙏🏻
So with moderate heat and a close eye on he area I was able to get rid of the three spots
Before and after ( it’s had to see with the reflection)
Hail to the chief (warrior)!🤪

HF comes through again! haha Great to hear you got it fixed and caught yourself from overheating the paint!

I have one of those HF heat guns. It comes in handy but it does get really, really hot on the high setting.

Yes, I'm still alive.

Forget to mention, I added the MX5 Things “window mod”. Now when I open the top the windows go all the way down, when I close the top the windows go all the way up! Awesome!

Interesting. Something you had to add as a module or a wiring mod?

Went to put in a new electric fan for the rad and was hoping to get it in without pulling the rad but seems not. Now I have to get an AC guy to come to the house to drain the system AGAIN. Not sure I will make the 1st HPDE this coming Sunday.

Yes, plug and play.
Ya, on my msm I upgraded the fans and had to remove the rad.

That sucks you have to remove it Bruce. I know pulling the rad on the NC is a bear.

Nice Mark! That is on my to-do-list.

Just got in from NC. Little maintenance on the car, oil and filter, rotate the tires. Cleaned out the wheel wells and brake Calipers, pretty black! Off to tech day tomorrow with the mass miata group.

@bazooka joe I see you took good care of the ol' girl but how about a little R&R for yourself after that drive!

In addition to installing the MegachipUSA rear chip guards, I washed, clayed and waxed the car. Also threw a coat of TW Ice Seal N Shine on the wheels. Looking back, I wish I would have had them ceramic coated prior to mounting the tires.
