I did mine a while back with the help from OJ, made a write up and started to do a how to install... Then CS came out with a kit lol.

looks good! oh and your sig is ******* awesome lol

batou: I have the SPC's, they were WELL worth the cost and install. When I did get a proper alignment done after I had them put on the car felt great. I'm hoping to take it in to a dealer I've heard great things about (Dave Wood Mazda) for alignments, as they do a lot of prep work for some Mazda racing teams. The few reviews I've seen from local owners have been very good, so I'll put a call in today and see what I can do.

haha i feel like a complete idiot now... it says it in your sig too. DUrrrrrrr... thats sick! i cant WAIT to get mine!!
the alignment place i went to seem competent enough as they do all custom if i ask it, but id love having a racing spec alignment guy too!!! nice.

do you have like a home depot fender lip?

So here are the pix that someone asked for.....its like this all around my car. I didnt install the trim so I just figured that it was a standard feature.....

(pay no attention to my ghetto wheels......)

Also, managed to make it to the post office to pick up my package that I missed yesterday. Hello RHOPlate! :D

And while installing my RHOPlate, I noticed my hood took a huge smack in the face and has a big ass gash in it :(

i just really want to know what that is.... it doesnt look horrible (looks better without it) but i just wonder what the point of that was....

Haha.....high five?

Heh... I don't know if you meant that to sound like Borat, but that's how I read it...

So I tried to snap some pictures of the new parking lights, but the photos don't really show how much brighter they are.

I guess you'll just have to take my word for it. :D

I fixed my Maf housing. The MAF was not all the way in the housing SO i took it apart and re-did it. I also re did my hoses because I saw the connections were not on that good at the TB and the Turbo Outlet.

Also

Beat a Brand new Cobalt SS turbo put abour 5 cars on it..

Got beat by a Stage 1+ Srt4 with a bunch of supporting mods Bigger front mount, Downpipe, upgraded Wastegate, AEM Cold Air, Throttle body upgrade.. Basically it was running a Dump and hitting 15-16 PSI same as me.. I pulled him but he pulled me on the top end. steady slow pull.

All in Mexico of course

Definitly NOT standard. The idea of those is much like the door edge guards, but for wheel wells.
I say take em off, will look much cleaner showing more of that flat-sided fender, imho ofc.

oh btw, did u say you planned on new wheels eventually?
you running those current ones only caues they came with it yay?

i think he bent a rim or blew a tire and those where cheaper with tires than buying 1 new wheel or something like that.

LEDs look great, Jay.

I hate hood chips so much... but the only way to avoid them is to not drive your car! I guess on the highway you can try to leave a little extra room between you and the guy in front of you, but if drivers around the world are anything like they are here, you'll just end up with countless people squeezing in in front of you.

As far as what I've done... I'm driving like a grandma until tonight when I get new tires put on. Going with Bridgestone RE760, but I am going back to 215/45/18, because the 225/45's only had a load rating of 91. Since I'm 95% highway driving, I don't think I'll feel much of a loss going back to the narrower tire, but I'll see. In theory a grippier tire on a new alignment should be better anyway.

Yeah, I had stock speed6 wheels on at first and bought the car with shot tires. It was my fault for not checking the tires before buying the car :( Soooooo.....I priced new tires once I got a flat and it was going to run me about $640 that I didnt have. I asked around and found a member that lived near me and he did a straight trade; my stock wheels with blown tires for his ghetto wheels with tires that had about 40-50% tread left. Tomorrow Im going to buy three stock wheels off of a fellow MazdasNW member and then buy a single wheel off of a member on here. :) Sooooo....within a week or so I will be stock again

^^ aha i see. glad to hear you gonna be able to get back to our original shexy wheels.

Back when i bent 1 stocker @ the track, i had found a used/reconditioned wheel place that sells stockers for LOTS of car manufactures for real cheap.
Was like $129 for a new stocker, but then you also have mounting/dismounting tire fees to take care of.

i cant wait though, im getting my wheels PC'd vary soon. :)

worbit take that junk off... those pics make me regret owning this car :(
haha he will, im sure he cant wait to get rid of those wheels... and the fender liners, i can only hope. :p

btw what you been up to man?
you been MIA from everywhere for a while.

Drove it to work and back....
But on a related note, I bought a SU Stiff Diff and AP from FS today, and block8head should be shipping me a gauge pod tomorrow.

Not much going on today! I went last night and had the RE760's put on, and I did go back to 215/45/18. Initial impressions are good, tires seem fairly quiet and to grip well, though I haven't done any spirited driving or hard cornering because my alignment is way off.

I'm off to have the alignment done first thing tomorrow morning, and will see how she feels after. I think I'm going to go for about -1.0* in front and -0.9* in rear, with the front toe zeroed, but I'm not sure about the rear toe. I think a very small amount of toe in is what I want for stability (?) or maybe zeroed all around. Caster, I have no idea, I think I'm just looking to have it within spec and all uniform, not varying from corner to corner. I think some positive caster is the norm to keep steering easy and keep the car tracking straight, but I'm no expert.
