What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

Holy Optimus, I know how that feels...

I gotta go get my car so I can start the RMM/plug install. Densos need to be gapped to .28, right?

What Jay said. I gapped mine at .030. You still want that shift boot? PM me if so.

Washed/waxed it and found some new scratches.... awesome!!

oh well the more i drive this car the more and more it bores me.... i want my 3!

You getting a 3 or an MS3?

thats where I SHOULD have put mine instead of the center console.

AudioLink 006.webp

I love mine in the console. Only small drawback is I sometimes clip the USB if I'm not used to one being in and I'm moving my hand quickly from the shifter to something else.

...I apparently don't know how to attach properly with the new forum?

Well, i would like a ms3 but i dont know if that is going to happen...

My mom didnt want me to have the ms6 because she though it was to much power for a kid (which i understand completely)

but i have a feeling that finding a white 3, with the right rear bumper and a manual is going to be a b**** and since all ms3s have that bumper (and i like all the ms3 colors except blue and red) that i may be allowed to get a ms3..

But on the other hand i really dont think they care to much as long as i can pay for the insurance... i need to get them to contact our insurance agent to see what the price difference will be for a ms3/mz3 for a 18 year old.

Only thing that sucks about a ms3 is.. there will be more i would want to do to it. (FMIC, Cobb AP, and a few other things) which is alot of $$$

Dont sell it!!!!!

If I could afford both of them I would keep it. Nothin is wrong with the car. It still runs strong. Time for some one else to enjoy it while I have my v8 fun.

Now you go ahead and buy it and dont let your dad drive it. haha

I say don't get a new car. I bought my 6 at 18 and I'm almost 20, going to school, and living at home because I'm paying for the loan on the 6, insurance, rent and other junk. I don't have any money to anything and living at home isn't exactly attractive the older you get. Working 30 hours a week and I barely can afford the above payments lol. I feel privileged to have a nice car (compared to most teenagers rides) like the 6 and you should be too. Just something to think about my friend.

The 6 isnt even mine...

My mom drove a minivan and when my sister was 16 she drove the minivan to school and stuff. Then my parents sold the minivan and bought her a brand new civic 2 door when she was 18. then my mom needed a car so we got the 6. i got my permit and have been driving the 6 since. and i was told since that when i was 18 i would get my car to. basically i just lucked out the the minivan died so i got to drive the nice car

And since its not mine my parents are buying it for me. so i have MY car. that I have picked out and it is what I want.

Wasn't trying to sound hostile if that's how I came across. Just something to think about is all.

oh i know, I was just explaining my situation. if i was paying for the 6 and it was paid for there was no way id be thinking about another car and if this 6 was a v6 with a manual i would consider keeping it

I bought my Protege right after high school. First new car. Saved up money from working and grad. money and put that down. Drove it longest of any car I've owned yet.

My sister is almost of driving age, and she's getting a hand-me-down Millenia. Still, not bad for a first car.

im going to keep the 3 for a long time (as long as it runs good and such)
i know there are a few people who have gotten to 200k on the 2.3. ill be happy if i can get to 150k

installed AWR RMM and Densos today... that motor mount was such a PITA. But I'm so happy with her now!

Took the 6 out for a drive this evening. First time all week long. Felt very wierd after driving the vette. Still feels pretty peppy compared to the vette but doesnt have the top end or torque of the vette.

Ok whats a Nano finished Camshafts with DLC lifters, Sodium Valves, and Beehive Springs have in common? Seriously I was watching this vid on the new nissan Juke 1.6 188hp turbo car coming out this fall..

That made me think of this car for some reason.. Never heard of BEEHIVE springs or nano finished camshafts before.

Oh I cleaned the bottom of my car real good.. Jacked it up and wiped down the whole underbody Had like a small trash can full of dirty paper towels and rags

LOL i had a super busy wknd, sadly i didnt get to do ANY of the work to my car i wanted to.
Basically, my exhaust is hanging SCAREY low right now due to stretched/dmged exhaust hangers (cat & 1 exhaust clamp bolt constant hit stuff :(), exhaust tips also need to have the metal lip above them bent out of the way, need the curb rashes from my latest track escapade repaired for upcoming powdercoating, need to get alignment/rotation/balancing (got massacred from spinning out @ the last trackday) as well as change my oil and i desperatly need to claybar/wax due to hard water spots as well as full detail inside & out...

just hit 52k miles this wknd.
lol got too much to do as well as prep for moving upcoming end of this month.

Hooked the battery back up to the mazda yesterday and drove it down the street an back. Filled up the meth tank in the trunk. Surprised how soft the clutch is compared to the vette. I still miss my 6 tho. :*(

vette clutch is stiffer than the MS6!??! good lord, my screwey knee can barely handle the MS6 clutch, id be murdered in your vette!
any legitamate interest from mazda enthusiasts in your car yet?
