What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

and of course thats completely made up...but I bet I had a couple people going for a second ;)

i (lol2).. both are 3 stage paints... lol.. but keeping your car clean does help with aerodynamics.. proven on mythbusters. :)

actually, BCM is the fastest. I don't remember exactly what it was called, but the way the paint was created, they needed to add an extra coat of something to make the color pop the way it does. This extra coat allows for a slightly lower level of friction and wind resistance, therefore it is *slightly* faster than all other colors. bet you feel silly now, eh?

Heres the flip side. That extra coat added weight to the car making it slower.

So here is the thing guys. I am off tomorrow all the way til tuesday. WooHoo!! I plan on changing the oil tomorrow. And possiblly the shift linkage since I bought a replacement. Just to see if I can make this baby shift better.

I am also considering going to the track and making a pass or 2 for the hell of it. I have gotten rather good on the launches and to whereI dont smell clutch anymore after a few of them. I think I may take any necessary weight out of the car to make it faster. Any suggestions rather than my 100lb speaker box?

spare tire/jack/carpet peice in trunk/dont eat for a week.. lol.. thats about it.

lol. You forgot passenger seat. Ill remove the hood. Nice weight saving and the engine will cool better. Hell. I'll remove the trunk lid as well. haha. Just found out test and tune is tomorrow night around 6-7pm. Its ladies night or whatever so I am sure a lot of ladies will be there. I am just not sure if they are ready for the speed6. I was wishing the rack was open saturday or sunday moring for it but it looks like it will be closed all the way up til next friday when Pinks all out is coming to town.

Where do you get this wrinkle black? Do they make a high temp paint for it?

i dont think so.. HTC Racing http://htcracing.com/index.htm will most likely do the work pending the pricing they give me on it, they did all my powdercoating work so far, and it came out awesome.. to my knowledge wrinkle black is a powdercoating color only.

if they give me high prices, everything will be sent to ken at PG for powdercoating.

Nice. I may do my IC piping with this. I am doing away with my red couplers. Trying to tone my engine bay down a little bit. 350 should be hot enough for an engine block. I wanna say I have seen this in napa.

I already asked Taylor this...but should a WELL DOCUMENTED & WELL MAINTAINED MS6 w/high highway miles scare me away from a purchase?
I checked the CARFAX and everything is legit/on the up & up.

not necessarily. if its been maintained, i see no reason why it should give you any problems.

*disclaimer, thats the highest mileage i've seen so i make no guarentees if it falls apart soon after purchase....

lol...ofcourse...
now say I was walking out the door priced @ $10.5k (KBB says $14k w/those miles) and the dealer is giving me a 60 day warranty on it in the event that something is wrong...really what do I have to lose.
I'm planning on getting an extended warranty through a 3rd party (suggestions?)

10k is a very good price. details? 06/07? Sport/GT? options?

hopefully with all of that highway time they weren't using the accel function of the cruise control in 6th... to accel it goes WOT... and WOT and low revs in high gear make car go boom
