What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

i now have the cleanest interior on the forum.. all door panels and seats were removed from the car and cleaned. center console was all apart as well and every part got cleaned and vaccumed. i took off as many dash pieces as i could,cleaned everything except for the glass on the guage panel.. the carpet was vaccumed, washed, and dried out.. it didnt get that wet.. headliner was cleaned as well. now all i got left to do is the trunk, and the windows..


Smells so good in the car because i put this on the seats.

all i gotta do is switch out my triple gauge pod with the cp-e pod that works with the stock door springs and front lock bar.. for a Clean look.
 
tough day.. biggest PITA was getting those seats back in and all the wiring hooked up.. other then that it was faily easy. after finding that s*** in my cabin filter im not about to let the interior get even close to that dirty ever, the reason why i cleaned it as much as i did was because who knows if said mouse pooped all over the carpet under the seats while he was in there.. so i went all out.. still not done but 80% done id say. Poorboy's adds tropical scents to all of thier products.. i love the smell..

Is meguiars a good detailing product? Im going to clay / wax my car after my final exams on tuesday. Not looking to spend a lot but I don't want to use crap products. Last time I waxed with turtle wax and the quality was terrible. Hard to apply. Hard to remove.

its been a bit cold again lately, so the chino hills meet (CHM) might not be as big as usual this week.

FYi, next Thursday is the BIG 1 yr anniversary of CHM. we have around 80+ signed up from MOCC alone! eets gonna be epic. mebe you'll still be around?

I came back to Vegas today. =[ I was there just for a couple days to see the girlfriend, and look for some jobs so I can move back there. I should be back there if not this week, but next because I really need to find a job lol. We will meet up one of these times at a meet or something! That is for sure dude!
 
I've seen Zaino work wonders on dark colored cars, but that's about it. A lot of people use that on their black car and follow the system and have great results.

For detailing, everyone is going to have their own combo of products that work for them. So many different options, so many methods, you really need to read and learn, then try things out.
 
Yeah I understand steve. Im not too concerned with what I put on my car. After all I send it through the machine car wash which isn't the best idea. As long as its a product decent enough to be worth the time I invest. As was stated, clay is clay. So I can't imagine there is a huge difference in quality there.

I guess ill just head to my autoparts store and hope they have a decent quality wax. Also question regarding claybar technique. Do you have to purchase a detailing spray to apply on the clay / surface to be clayed? Or can you just wash the car and clay it?
 
The meguires clay bar comes with the detailing spray IIRC, and I have had good luck with their NXT wax. Its pretty easy to use and does a good job for the price.

Most clay kits at the local stores come with detailing spray as the lubricant. You can also use soapy water if you like.
 
Have you guys heard anything about the turtlewax black box? Seems kinda interesting. Wasn't too sure about it so I thought I would ask here first before getting it.
 
Thanks guys appreciate the help. As for RR tuning qwik . . . Im concerned too. But if the knock / boost / A/F is in check than it doesn't really matter does it ? The amount of boost creep / boost variance I get is pissing me off. It has nothing to do with the tune. I have had this issue before I had the AP. It was even worse. I would get high knock, lean, and creep after 5K rpm. Everything is tight and in check. Right now the only thing I can blame is the PG inlet. Im going to get a few more revisions from RR and if its not fixed im probably going to sell my intake setup and go full cobb or corksport intake. If I keep the car im going FMIC after 36K miles when my warranty is up anyway so I would need an SRI.

Anyone else know what could be causing boost creep? Only cause is tune or MAF right ??

In 1st-3rd my boost stays under 19. But in 4rth it gets way too high and my A/F's were still in the 11's.


I envy you steve :). The new V8 is going to be nice. No worries about boost or any of this s***. Just step on it and go. No gauges to look at, no BS to think about . . .
