What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

And steve your power conscerns are legit but you still have a good / "easy" 40whp in your car. Downpipe + intercooler . . .

True, but that's still going to leave me with a car that's pushing its limits and isn't necessarily the weakest point. I won't do a DP because it's just crossing a line that I don't want to. I wanted to do a 3" exhaust, TMIC/FMIC, and wheels, but right now those are all purchases that are bigger than I want to jump into.

wow steve, already putting together a sell list? im sad. :(
well looks like ima have to start saving cash to buy more stuff from you!

Sorry to be a vulture, but im drooling over just that short list right now.. hah!
bout 3 things on that list i recently got, guess i shoulda been patient.

Don't worry, you'll have a chance. We'll see what time holds in the next few months. Right now I need to see what options and pricing are for the 2011s before I fully commit, but I think that I'm going to actually order one from scratch and get it exactly how I want it. It'll take 6-8 weeks, but they build the Mustang (and Mazda6) literally 5 miles from my house.

pfft, you should keep your MS6 as your daily...
and make the stang your tuner car... pump more horsey and torque outta that thing for weekend fun and track kills!

Steve I hope you stay with the MS6 family but if you do I claim dibs on the test pipe and blackout rear markers.....LMK pricing if/when your ready....

Oh man, I'm gonna have a lot of this stuff covered before I even peel it off the car LOL.I won't be totally gone from the family, just not on as much as I am now. My knowledge of the platform isn't going to disappear when I change vehicles, that's for sure.

Thats what I was hoping you would say. A car may be replaced but your knowelage is irreplaceable....

Thanks man, it means a lot. I'm glad that I can help you guys out. Even when I do move on, PMs will still work and I'll still be on from time to time. I can't just walk away...

yey for the short time ive known you, you've helped me a LOT and answered my incessant questions, not too mention working out a good deal for that MS CAI for me. :P

oh, and one more annoyance, before you start slacking off... CP-E ventmount for dashhawk? hehe... sorry.

Haha, yeah, I'm glad you like the new CAI. Definitely a good part.

I'll try to see that ventmount through, although I may not need one now after all lol.

I need to respond to your other PM as well...gimme a min.

I would take your full cobb intake set up off your hand when your ready, if i dont already have one might get impatient lol.

Gave my new AP map (stage 1 SF 93 octane) some gas for the first time today. Didn't last long. Eased onto the gas in 2nd and went WOT at about 4000. At 6K rpm the car bucked like crazy and I hit 5.9 KR. I guess that "buck" was boost cut. Doubt I can hit fuel cut in 80 degree weather in 2nd gear with my mods.

Anyway got rid of that map fast and im trying the 93 FUCAI stage 1 TMIC. Hopefully I can find a decent map that works for me but im not too optimistic at this point.

Washed my car. 1st time in over 2 weeks. I hope my prosport electric boost gauge is here tomorrow. :)

Have you thought of just getting a pro tune done?
That's what I'm planning on once I get a downpipe and upgrade my IC, going to P&L to get it done.

Yep going to get a dyno tune but just not until I finish my bolt ons. Trying to make up my mind if I wan't a DP or not. The thing is if I get a DP then ill probably need fuel pump internals or a new fuel pump.

Thought about a pro tune but its still 200 bucks or so from cobb and I can get a dynotune for 300 so ill just play with the OTS maps until then.

Hit boost cut (I think) again today using the TMIC stage 1 93 FUCAI map. Car jerked / bucked violently. What do you guys think?? Fuel pressure seems fine, AFR isn't bad. Car didn't feel like it pulled that hard. I was expecting to feel the gains but my buttdyno didn't notice anything.

Prosport boost gauge is installed. I love it. Switched out my ap with the dashhawk for monitoring.

hmm been thinking of getting a seperate boost gauge too, DH arrives next Tuesday.
Installed MS CAI today... my nice sleeper BPV no longer sounds sleeper, ROFL.

Found that my drivers side fog light is out, not sure why. I may get into it tomorrow, or look at the sway bar, but I'm going to the auto show in the afternoon, so I won't have a lot of time to do so.

Fish, I'm by no means an expert, and since the headers don't line up with the columns, that was kind of hard to read, but I think your LTFT's look too high (I'm experiencing the same thing, but they seem to be settling down), and there are a couple of points where your AFRs are way too lean, but you're not getting a lot of KR. Somebody else want to chime in? Maybe you should post this in the Cobb AP discussion thread for a better opinion.

Been for a drive with the new boost gauge. Much better than the mechanical autometer I had been running. The needle is much smoother without all the vibrating. I also like the fact one I am at wot the needle stays at one spot while the mechanical was back and forth between 2 psi. I also like the fact that it records the highest psi. The run in 3rd gear I spiked 15 and held it to redline. Did a run in 4th and spike 17 and held that to redline.
