What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

Well mazda just called said $3400 n tax to replace turbo not covered under warranty, warranty expired on june 4th ffs and said not covered under powertrain.

What a rip. Mazda sucks w/ their warranties. I'd never pay that. You could get a BT, DP, Mani & have it installed for about that. Tax free, lol.

-------------------------------------------------------------

I yanked my fuel pump last night, and just mailed it back to PTP. I was gonna overnight it, but it was like $40 w/ insurance, so I said F that. PTP told me it would be $18? LOL I don't think it would fit in the flat rate enveloped, lol.

I'm so disgusted i've phone Mazda Canada and got them to start a investigation because Ive had the car in 4 times about the bucking in the car and all the time they look at the turbo.

1st time

Inlet hose was loose, repaired that

2nd time

Small bit of oil found, told me to keep a eye on it as it wasn't a issue.

3rd time

Checked codes no codes car was fine.

4th time

Warranty runs out and BAM turbos gone pay us $3400+Tax. 2100 for turbo and rest labor

They're trying to take the easy way out. Check your owner's manual for description of warranty coverage.

Anyone got a copy of this stating that its covered??? or it should be?

Like the car has 40900km on it, never seen snow or any abuse.

Wow, hate to hear that drover! Steve's right, i jsut read throught the website too, and the Powertrain for 09 and newer vehicles DOES include Turbo. But no idea if this is or isnt applicable to older gen cars like our MS6. So which warranty expired in july? bumper to bumper, powertrain, eh?

yeah it's in a rear... i've had it for a while now, it all started when they replaced an axle back in march or april, they've had me replace a strut, and rear rotors and the noise still occurs

its a rotational clunk when brakes are applied

well hate to say it, but that very well could be rear axle related, improper install perhaps.
I had a rotational clunk, but it was due to badly turned rotors, which caused the pads to groove and clunk consistantly.

My bumper to bumper expired June 4th, still 2 year powertrain. I could cry no joke lol. I dunno what to do going to get a used turbo now for $150 bucks with only 1000km on it. But still gonna fight for it, going to go see the manager who owns all the car dealers tomorrow and i got a investigation started by Mazda Canada. Anyone got any suggestions on what to do????

Debating parking on the lot next to Mazda with lemon stickers over the car to help them attract customers.

Also has anyone got there turbo covered by powertrain???

I'd be on the phone with Mazda Canada CS and really hammer the point home that you know there's a TSB out for this and they're not willing to help.

There is a TSB for the 07???? I thought that was for the 06?

Just went to pick up that turbo and it has shaft play in it i'm guessing that's why it was taken off. Still bought it for next to nothing and come with the cat too soooo why not if it come down to it I'll get it rebuilt.

Going outside now to put on the Corksport Power Series Intake.. I should have some pics and maybe a video up within the next couple of hours..

I also ordered some Carbon Fiber emblem inserts for the trunk emblem to conceal it more, and give me a full debadged look. They were only $15 on ebay.
