What have you done to your CX-9 today?

Gave it a wash and wax, clay bared the vehicle, and polished it. I live in New York City and it was 56°F today, which is crazy to think about. I love how the Snowflake White Pearl Mica shines in the sun. The clear coat on the rims are peeling off, so I need to refurbish all four rims. I also need to get the left rear portion of the bumper fixed as someone hit my vehicle with their cart at Costco.

The image was taken about 30 mins before I uploaded this post. I recently got my windshield tinted 20%; I love how menacing the vehicle looks from the front.

TPMS warning light came on today. Driver's side front tire was the lowest at 22psi, with the highest at the passenger rear (28psi). Serves me right for not adding air to these tires for nearly 2 years.

Topped everything up to 36psi.

Mine was grumpy today, gave me low tyre warning, brake warning, smart brake system malfunction, front radar sensor malfunction, low washer fluid, kept telling me to hold the steering wheel.

once we had driven about 15km she was fine again.

It was warm enough to change the front wiper blade inserts yesterday. A little silicone lubricant made sliding the rubber through the channel really easy.

Tomorrow the car is going in to the dealer to get the infotainment screen replaced. Here's how it looks currently.

Service manager said it would take roughly an hour to replace.

Spider cracks!

All done! Got there at 10am, it went in around 10:15, and I was back on the road by 11am. Very quick!

It’s been a while since I last posted. We had a 08’ CX-9 GT AWD and had a few car after that. I’m happy that I’m back for the last year 2nd Gen. Everything is much better than the 1st Gen.

I did a few things so far.

Tints, Winter tires and rims, Thule roof rack is on the way.

I can't believe Mazda still cheapens out on the rear signal and reverse bulbs. 😒

That sucks. This is the one I used earlier this year. Was very easy and no complaints about losing a spark plug
Hi, I tried the link and it pulls the ATLIN Thin Wall Spark Plug Socket 12-Point, 14-millimeters Compatible with BMW, Nissan, Mini.... Amazon, "This does not fit" Mazda 2021 CX-9. Tried clicking on, "see similar products that fit this vehicle" and it brought up a page for plug testers. I'm sure i'll find something. Thanks for the heads-up about the rubber experience.

The weather in NYC was somewhat warm today, so I decided to go ahead and install the footwell lighting kit I’ve gotten, as well as some door hinge covers.
The recent commentary and visuals on the footwell lighting are making an impact on me. In fact additional cabin light in general. Gonna brighten the rig up. I have a six year old and the brief novelty of it plus distinguishing dad's ride from other vehicles she gets into would be cool for both of us. BTW the vid is great @shawnee. The quick pan to fade on the ground effects was fun. 🫠

I am replacing aftermarket Morel speakers and a portable sub that I had installed 3 months after I purchased the Mazda. Was happy with the entry level Morel speakers though I wanted to level up tier wise not necessarily brand because Morels are some of the best. I went with Alpine components and rears. Replaced the 8" Kicker portable to a 12 downfiring enclosure so as not to lose valuable cargo space.
Dropped it off at the Installer on Saturday and wont see my buddy again until this coming Saturday. Should be finished by Thursday but the commute to pick it up doesn't jive with work hours.

Hi Mods, If it's Ok I'd like to post pictures of the install on this thread when get the rig back? I'm not replacing the Infotainment at all and thought this thread would be ok.

Hey CK, if you wouldn't mind, could you please post the pictures of the install in a separate thread in the CX-9 Infotainment subforum? I know it would be handy to have as a reference for any other CX-9 owners looking to upgrade their speakers, and putting that info in that forum would make it a bit easier for others to search for in the future. Then, you can post a link to your thread here. (y)

I wouldn’t trust Amazon’s fit guide. I’ve bought OEM oil filters on there that they said wouldn’t fit. And air filters. And various other OEM parts

Was bored at work so came up with a game plan for some lighting in the glove box. To keep it simple, I decided not to have a switch, but rather use the dome light circuit, as I have already added a light in the kick panel, so the wiring was right there. For the amount I foresee needing a light in the glove box, this should work just fine. All parts came from my parts bin, so all this cost me was the time.....
