Common thread around here, just noticed that we didn't have one in the CX-7 section.

I'll start it out:

I installed DVD Player headrests that I got off eBay. They are surprisingly REALLY nice for the $200 shipped I paid straight from Hong Kong. They are 7" screens, black leather that matches pretty well, simple to install, etc.

Very happy with that purchase.

So...what has everyone else done today?

no pics? just had to jump start it, battery seems to be dying on me. now i'm going crazy trying to find the factory brush guards for under the bumpers.

Don't mind the blurry and weird looking color on the last one...it was really sunny on the back of the car, and my daughter hit my arm as I was taking the picture..

Took our first family trip into Boston in the CX-7.
We enjoyed our Mazda spotting in comfort and got a few looks and thumbs ups.
Still getting used to parking it, some of the exterior proportions of the car are deceptive from within the cabin.

yeah. i agree with that. its not as bad as my in-laws Toyota sienna van though.

diy short shifter and forge bpv version 2 in black

yup, knocked a half inch off the stock shifter stalk to shorten the shifter obviously. i think it came out rather well. oh, also added the forge bpv version 2 in black. sounds great, a nice low woosh.

did a much needed oil change on it the other day, and noticed that i've got a leak coming from either the transfer case or transmission. can't really tell which....

Dropped the car off at the dealer this morning for the above mentioned leak. They said they verified it and have parts on order. Should be done Wednesday.

Was it hard to install the tvs?

nope. it was actually pretty simple. you just pop the stock headrests out, drop the wires down the peg holes, slide in the new headrests.

unhook the bottom of the seat, pull the wires through.

i ran the power to the cigarette lighter in the center console. that was actually the hardest part, taking that out. it was like 4 screws and a couple clips. i don't remember the exact steps, but it wasn't terrible. i spliced into the wires to the lighter (the black one is ground).

thats it. done.

also, got the car back. leak was fixed under warranty. no questions/problems.
