What have you done to your CX-5 today?

Not to say it really matters, but somehow I can see those “aftermarket” drain plug aluminum washers are a bit smaller on outer diameter comparing to the real OEM aluminum washer.

Ha, I thought you got that 50x pack you posted earlier. $2 more for 30 more aluminum washers seems to be a much better deal ⋯ 😊

Yes, you're right, it's a much better deal! I didn't come across the 50 pack till after I ordered the 20 pack.

Both my MX and CX use the same maintenance parts and at the rate I'm accumulating miles on my cars (less than 5k/year. I have 2 other vehicles that need to be driven as well) those 20 crush washers should last me for ~10 years of Mazda oil changes.

Added the mazda front and rear bumper trim and mazda rain deflectors for the windows.

cheers

Ceramic coating. Not happy with the results after a week of curing process with Sonax.

Which product did you use? Looks like they have a few on the Sonax website.

I went with some guys here in NE with a product called Ceramic Pro. They recommend me to use Sonax Brilliant Detailer and avoid things like pollen, tree sap, bird poop, so on n so forth while still on the curing process. Honestly I had better results using a polymer detailer from the chemical guys.

I finally got around to updating the software and installing the Android Auto/Apple CarPlay kit.

I also gave it good wash yesterday, and then applied a second coat of paint sealant (Power Lock Plus).

Gave it a bath and added a rear sill guard. Looks great, and as a bonus it reflects "CX-5" onto the rear hatch door. I should have taken this picture from just a little lower to make it perfect, but you get the idea.

I'm guessing that only applies to 2016.5+ models? Or whatever year they did the interior refresh?

If you’re referring to the Android Auto / Apple CarPlay upgrade kit for infotainment system, yes it’s only available for newer Mazda Connect infotainment system starting from 2016 CX-5.

Dang, I wish I could remember what my Integra GSR 1/8 times were, just as a comparison. Best time I ever got out of it in the 1/4 was 15.01 @ 92.xx MPH.

You took your CX-5 to the drag strip? hahahaha! The reaction time was okay. Did you use the e-hold and just hit the gas?
LOL. Left a few cars in the dust with the grocery getter 😆. I just put it in sport mode, tried to brake boost by holding the brake pedal and gave a tiny bit of gas. Since the torque already comes down low i figured it didn't need much.
