what exhauts are you guys going with

Could use some help deciding also...

So I'm also in the market for an exhaust, but I keep getting conflicting reports on what to go with. I know it's all personal preference. Anybody have trubendz? I hear they may be a good choice.

I just got my MS3 exhaust put on last weekend. Here's a link to some pics and videos of it.

I got the exhaust from a member on another forum site. Here's some details about the install...

OEM exhaust was cut off between the 2nd cat and the flange in front of it. About an inch of pipe was left coming off of the flange. The flange on the front of the MS3 exhaust was cut off. The MS3 exhaust was set into the hangers and the Magnaflow cat was slid into place, over top of the MS3 pipe. A filler pipe was made to join the Magnaflow exhaust to the piece of pipe left on the OEM flange. Everything was welded into place, from front to rear so that the tip could be centered last.

You mean for the sedan? It fits right on for the hatch...

Sedan needs to be extended near the tip area.

what we do is extend the pipe up to the header to eliminate the rear cat. thats more what i meant. then flanging them so there is no need to drop the subframe.

+1 to that, they sound different and have more of a tuner sound to it or as a lot of people like to say when they hear mine "a g35 opened up".

here's a quick video of my custom exhaust a local shop fabbed up for me. they hook my buddy and i up pretty nicely. 2.5" piping 2nd cat-back and the bend for the angled exit, cost me total $80 excluding the price of the muffler.

The Corksport exhaust removes the second cat. I know because I have one. And it does not cause the engine MIL to come on.

Ive got GHL and I love the sound. Not many speeds with GHL.

it's not loud inside the vehicle, but once it breaks in, if you hear it pulling away (outside vehicle) it sounds like a muffled deep wrx with aftermarket exhaust...

most of where you are going to get your noise and tone is from doing the DP and race pipe (cats removal or swap for high flow) at a little over 3in diameter and fairly straight with minimal resonators it's (CS CBE) not really holding back any of the natural tone. that's all the cats' fault

I really don't like loud exhausts. When I was looking for one, I was trying to find the quitest one on the market. The Corksport is a little loud IMHO. I would prefer something quieter. Cruising at a steady 120 can get a little annoying after a while, especially after driving for 8 straight hours.

I have been thinking of selling the Corksport and getting the Autoexe. I may loose a few ponies, but it will be much closer to stock in volume.

Although, I get a LOT of compliments on how good it sounds. I really does sound good.
