What do you guys think of your MSP's?

Hey guys I havent been here in a while. I had a deposit on a Spicy orange MSP but gave up due to all of the delays. As you can see I got a 03 Spec V and am very happy w/ it. I am not trying to start a battle or anything I just was wondering if the MSP is as good as we all thought it was. Are you guys having any problems? Are there mods available yet? Any good dyno #'s or 1/4 mile times, etc? Just wondering what I missed out on.
Thanks, Joe

yes it is as good as i thought it would be
no problems at all here

you missed out on everything!!!!! LOL jk i like the specs too

Just one blown motor that I know of! MINE!!!!
but its all good they are fixing it!:D

MMM

It's like silky Black perfection.
I am however, going to put in an MBC,BOV,CAI, and get rid of that ******* governor when someone comes out with a piggyback for it.

shoot, I just picked mine up on Saturday so I'm still breaking it in but its all I can do make myself turn into the parking lot after driving to work - just want to keep going.......

I love mine. I promise you'll be happy with the spec. I had an 02 spec that I traded in for my MSP. I had no problem with the spec and only a stupid m f'in rock that cracked my window on the MSP.

I hated my Spec V, love my Mazdaspeed. Handling is superb, ecu could use some remapping, needs a better intercooler and new piping.

mine is diffinatly spiffalicious. and yes i do hjave quater mile times. the only performance thing i added was a conversion greddy exhaust (sounds like a chainsaw muwahahha). I did the quater at the lake on a flat smooth stretch with wind at my back at 12.1 seconds. i don't know if thats fast compared to yall's times. and that was like after 2 weeks of me having the new car so im sitll getting used to it. i think with more time mayb this weekend i may get it down to the mid 11 second range. that and im gunna be adding a better intake soon as soon as i get my "pain and suffering" check in from when the guy hit me and totaled out my old car. i love pain and suffering! ok time for me to stop rambling!

o yea one more thing. i brought my msp in to the dealership and talked to the mazdaspeed pro at the service center and we talked for about a half an hour about it and the last thing he said was "drive this car to the max...push it till it wont push back anymore...thats what it's made to do and trust me i know it's limits." i thought that was cool to bring up lol

KickAss!!!

I LOVE my MSP!!(2thumbs) (mspb) (2thumbs)
The handling is outstanding and for the price can`t be beat!!
And it ESPECIALLY has great gas milage(a major plus for us people out west!!).
As far as the after market goes, it`s growing.

Damn that's fast....you must have some hell of a wind gust! Most people on here are only running 14 and 15 second 1/4 miles.

its great. BOV need upgrading and they did a Half ass fuel map but other than that no complaints. How do you like the SPec V. It was a toss up for me almost bought one.

I'll second that. I just topped off my first tank of gas. I got over 33 MPG!
Of course, that will go down once I'm past breaking it in...

isnt gas milage supposed to go up after break in?

and also, the dude with 12.1 second quarter mile...riiiiiight....

i am getting like 22 city and 25 highway...boo

Gas mileage should go up once the car is broken in, but remember, we usually drive a lot harder once the engine is broken in:D

I really like the way my MS handles, but the stuble/hesitation is annoying, as is the flickering lights when the electric fans come on. Other then that,

Zoom, Zoom!!
