What do I do about my Dangerous Rotors?

:
Mazda CX-7 FWD
The 1st day off the dealer, i hit the brakes, massive vibration from 50ish. Then it went away after a week, i thought it was because it was so new. Then the dangerous vibration would happen whenever it wanted to. Now i'm @ 24,000 miles, and constant dangerous vibration anytime I hit the brakes above 45mph. I'm actually afraid to hit the brakes. I try downshifting as much as possible, but w/ gas prices, thats painful too. I tried explaining to the dealer once, and they said I passed the "12,000 mile mark". I don't want to pay for this, theres no way a brand new car should do this from day one. What should I do?

Contact the Mazda Representative in your area. This is not normal for any car, new or used. Hopefully you had this documented by the dealer as soon as it was apparent. Mazda will not want you to be diving with defective brakes so do the Rep contact ASAP. I think the 12,000 mile statement is non binding for this type of issue. Ed

gonna be tough to address after passing 24k. id say you may have some recourse if you have it documented with the dealer prior to....have u brought this up as an issue in past service visits?

Mazda Rep? Do I go to the dealer for that or call an "800" #. I had it told the salesman over the phone on the 2nd day, and had it documented during one of the oil changes few thousand miles ago.

Actually if I remember correctly when i took it in for servicing once and mentioned this issue, the service rep was like "you probably got the one w/ warped rotors, but since you passed the 12,000k mark, it's not covered."

Breaks and any wearable item like that is only covered for 12 000 miles unless you bring it up from day one and have history to show that you did, sorry to tell you but your on your own on this one, i own a business and we buy 5-7 new units a year and we go thur all the warranty issues but tires, breaks, rotors and little wearable items are not covered past 12 000 miles or 1 year since purchase date which ever comes first. $350 will get your crossdrilled rotors and hawks pads much much better.

Again unless its on paper, its not valid.
