just wondering if anyone can give me an idea of what they paid for sedan gt with gfx packager....so everything but leather

Well, I believe it's about 24500 plus all the taxes and stuff. Dealers won't budge on the price but you can get them to throw in stuff like a spoiler or tint the windows. I got a 25 quote but that includes heated leather. There's also recent grad program which knocks off about 600 and previous Mazda owner program but I know nothing about that.

If you not picky you can save a bundle on a car in the showroom...

Hey guys.. (er.. maybe Gals?)..

I need some advice ..

I'm ready to buy my Mazda 3 GS with Air / Titanium Grey lll This Week! However, the reps at Duff Mazda have been slow to release a deal on the car... infact I keep hearing about these surprise fees due at delivery.

Example

$18,800 .. Price of CAR (this is MSRP)
15% Tax
Freight 925
A/C air Tax 100
Gas / Emmissions Tax 75
Admin Fee 175
First payment / Last payment

They rep said we can negotiate once I come in to sign but I'd like someones advice on how to handle the negotiation so I don't get screwed. Half these taxes sound like crap.

I've also heard that you can get a great deal if you take one of the cars that are currently at the dealership since they pay for the car to sit there. (holding inventory)
Cheers,

nothing.......actually I was returning a leased 2000 626 and I was over the milege and had some damage so my cost would have been about 5k more but I was able to talk to the dealer and get him to take 4k off so I was in no shape to barter down the price of the car........oh well ......s**t happens (help)

Final question though... did they charge you Air tax of 100 Gas Tax 75 and Admin fee 175?

nope..but I saved on reg because I used my old plates since I am going to get new custom ones later on......

Damn.. sounds like they want to make the mark up on the car and the financing charges on me with no mercy..

$302.97 a month tax in Leased and they want

2000 upfront for (air tax, gas tax, licensing fees, admin, freight pdi, first, last)

Nuts eh? Think you could refer me to a good dealer in Toronto? (huh)

well my dealer is at airport mazda (formerly albion mazda). I have dealt with the guy for the past 4 years and havent had a problem so send me a pm and I will give you his name...but remember when buying a brand new model its gonna be hard to get a great deal....

This quote is hilarious!!!(burnout)

You guys need to quit reading the American posts on car buying. Things are different in Canada, you don't buy cars for invoice here. If they sell cars at invoice they go out of business. There aren't kickbacks, holdbacks, dealer cash etc....in Canada, the $1500 of mark-up they get is the profit on the car.(silly)
