I didn't get ripped off, however I didn't really negotiate. I just asked them to throw in rubber floor mats and spend the extra hours dealing with the broker and customs to ship it to me. So I think I got excellent service with what I paid for it.

Just got back from the dealer, deal done.

2017 CX-5 FWD Touring, Machine Gray, Black Interior, Preferred Equipment Package, No incentives and no trade in.

MSRP $27,935.00, deal made; $25,500.00 plus tax/lic/ fees

OTD price ended up being $28,207.00 Felt like fair deal.

(Bay Area, Calif.)

Picked up my car today, got a little sketchy with finalizing the deal but I edited the above for the final result. Thanks to all who post here, very informative and helpful in making the deal!

So what is an amazing price then? Don't be shy!

D.C. Is a great place to buy. Got mine there as well...

MSRP $34060

Highest-$31505
Good to Very Good-$30650-$29800
Excellent Hurry Up and Sign-$28950

$31160 is where you sit. It's actually a pretty decent price already, however, shoot for a min of $500 more, and I think you should be happy with the deal if so. Good luck and keep us posted...

My turn, is this a good price or not?

2017 Soul Red - Grand Touring CX-5 AWD
with Premium Package

MSRP $34,060
Offer $31,160

OTD price $33,254. (includes tag, title, taxes and fee)

Outside Washington DC Area

Your opinions please???? This was first offer.

Which dealer are you getting that offer from? I live in the Philadelphia area and they are only offering 34400 for awd 2017 gt machine grey

I live in the Chicago area. For a 2017 GT Red w premium package..... MSRP 34115. Offer 31963. Seems a bit high after seeing other offers here. I would be taking advantage of 0% 36month....not sure if this should make a difference. What do you think?? Have gone to only one dealer but considering expanding my options to other dealerships.

@noworries I am looking to buy in the chicago area as well. Which dealership did you get that offer from? Would love to hear what is the final offer you settled on. Thanks

Drove it home today!

Hi again everyone!

Well I couldn't take it any longer and went in and closed the deal today.

I could not get the dealer to budge on the price at $31,160. I did get him to throw in the rear cargo cover however. So that kind of gets it down another $250. I think this turns out to be a fair deal. Not killer but fair. Throw in the fact that I got 72 months financing at 1.49% and I think I'm sitting pretty (from Fed Choice Federal Credit Union).

Love that Red color!

(laugh)

Oh in answer to where. It was Passport Mazda in Suitland Maryland right off the beltway. Mark Bowers was an awesome low pressure sales person. I totally recommend him.

You will always hear that someone got a better deal.If your happy enjoy it and don't look back.I ordered mine at 200 over invoice when they first came out and knew if I waited I could get a better deal

Purchase price $27825 ($32325 MSRP - $4500) + $2782 TTL = $30607 OTD
The $2K cash is not included in those numbers. Thanks

Based on the MSRP, this looks like a fully loaded 2016.5 GT. If you include the $2k customer cash, that brings your total discount to $6,500.

MSRP: $32325
Dealer Disc: $4500
Mazda Cash Disc: $2000
Purchase price: $25825
TTL: ~$2400
OTD: $28225

Seems like a good deal to me. Anyone care to chime in?
