K this might sound like a dumb Q, but i didnt fully understand what your attacjment represent? was it a race?

thanks(crazy)

SCCA Autocross times. We all ran in the same heat too.

his attachments, snooky, are auto-x times...... him doing 48 (minutes?) around the track, I assume, with the noble close behind at 49 and the ferrari and lotus at around 51-52....

Jonesy that's pretty cool..... I know GM cars back in the day were definitely built "like a rock" so that's pretty nice your IROC lasted so many redline dumps.... i think it's in part due to the weak clutch as is now with the MS6.... even my director of education at my college noticed the clutch was bad..... (i let him drive to show him my new car because when i graduated for my associates at the time he let me borrow his s2000 for a day). needless to say he said the clutch was funky..... lol

maybe with the new TSB and the new upgraded clutch it might be a little better, but I would still consider visiting clutchmasters.com or a similar company to getting a better "high performance" clutch set up for the car.....

We got 4 runs each and the times are in seconds, not minutes.

I would truly be afraid to make any track day events with my MS6. I really don't think the brakes would hold up to 30 mins of hard abuse.

you'd be surprised..........

check this out........Edmunds seems to think that the mazdaspeed 6 is better than a legacy GT.......overall choice.......

I didn't know it was seconds.......how long was the track? about 1.6 miles?

.7 miles from my grid spot around the track and back to my grid spot. It has been my experience, in SE Lower Michigan and Northern Ohio, that most Auto-X tracks are in the 1/2 mile range....but they might be longer in other areas of the country.

To get back to the main topic I think the MS6 competes pretty closely with the WRX's, not the STi's or Evo's. I've Auto-Xed against some stock WRX's and some modified WRX's and I think the MS6 keeps up pretty well.

yeah........ i say the only "WRX" to "compare" to the MS6 is the regular WRX, because the STI is just a step above it......
