I havent had my car for too long but I beat up a
94 sentra
01 cavalier

I completley got demolished by:
friends 04 STi
not sure of the year SC 400 (my next car)
03 eclipse V6
89 CRX

well i don't how big a difference the dx and a p5 are but i've beaten
my friends integra numerous times see sig lol
1990 ford explorer
pretty much every civic i've ever raced
95 altima
almost tied with two 2 door 93 integras i owned them off the line and half way thru the race then they caught me, funny thing is my car has nothing but a generic intake
they had header exhaust cams pulleys etc we went like three times stupid thing is afterwards they were like "you need a honda" which is pretty sad seeing as how their "tuned hondas" which weigh less and from the factory are up 10 hp could barely beat a stock protege

Are you sure they know you were racing. I hat that crap. I Heard from some other guy in town that some puke in a N/A Neon claimed to have beat my car...

I asked him for a rematch but he said that his clutch was slipping and his A/F was off, he would race when it was fixed... (And when he got a much better car)

wrong. echo is 9.8sec to 60mph (consumer report), protege 8.8 -9.2sec to 60mph ( car&driver, motor trend) all manual transmissions.

To that idiot Mazda engine picker, whatever you call yourself, you should get shoot or go to Japan and learn why the Japanese engineers designed a 170HP engine and AWD for a P5 instead of a freaking 130HP engine FWD. I swear, whoever picked this engine should be shoot because they difinitely didn't know what they were doing.

I don't care what consumer reports say. They are wrong pretty frequently. Car and Driver, for example, said that the P5 topped out at 112 mph, which many of us know is not true. I've raced an echo, and been beaten by one. Am I ashamed? Only as ashamed as I would be of being beaten by any other 120 hp 2200 lb car. It's a piece of s***, but no one ever said pieces of s*** had to be really really slow.

And you, my friend, are on lots of crack if you actually believe the MSP was meant to be a "Real sports car designed to compete at the track." It was designed specifically and deliberatly to be a faster than average, dead sexy, fantastic handling econobox. The fact still remains that it is the same car as the regular Protege LX,DX,EX with some upgrades.

Don't get me wrong, I love em, it's just that to say they were designed as race cars is a total falacy.

i own a jetta 1.8T w/5-speed and it is much faster then the P5.

Guys, if you are going to race, at least race cars that are respectable.

Built Hondas, V8 Mustangs and Camaros, DSMs, etc. If you own a stock Mazda P3 or 5, you have no business taking a race seriously.

Who cares about a Solara? Maybe if you take your spare tire and jack out you could beat a lot more cars (see sig).

Please don't turn this into a damn ricer forum, looking for easy wins (well, not really since our cars are slow stock).

Sorry for the rant, but c'mon man. Your run in the mid 16s. Is it really worth getting in trouble for racing?

I kept up with an integra on the highway not sure which gen or what model because I don't keep up with those stupid honda/acura craps. But, it was a coupe and had those two little tiny healights on each side. It sounded like it had an exhaust. I'm sure it had more done to it. I was actually ahead at one point, if I looked directly left, I'd see his headlights. But, then a car got in my way so I had to stop. So, I wouldn't consider it a kill.

I kept up with a...2.3CL? The four cylinder funny shaped lookin' ones. I'm not sure if it's the four or the 6 cylinder. But, it had wheels, an intake, and maybe springs? But, I believe it's an automatic. It's a friend's car but I hardly get to see it. I pretty much beat it, though. We were waiting to take a left, I was behind him. We took the left and I easily pulled up to him during the turn and we went at it, he got up ahead by a headlight or two then I started to pass him but cars got in my way. Then, we took off at a light and he ended up behind me a bit further than the integra. Then, I heard his engine rev loudly as he tried to catch up. Before this all went down, while we waited to make the left, he got out of his car and came to my window and we talked a bit as he looked around in my car and he said "Sh!t, your car is gonna kill mine." (thumb)

I can beat my friend's Camry! Ha-ha, I think it's a 95? He gets mad when I have to follow him because he can't lose me. And, in turns...oh how much he envies me. (glare)


I haven't really raced alot of people because I'm more of a track person myself.


Oh, and I don't have any performance mods except that stock intake mod where you cut the plastic in front of the snorkel. But...I do have two 12" subs in the back and an amp.

Maybe i shouldnt say anything since this was posted a few days ago? But the comment about "honda/acura craps" just makes me wonder how ignorant this guy is. Lets see him run with an actual built hondas, or even stock GSR's or SI's.Guys that think the whole honda thing is just hype bug me, its hyped up because its been proven that built hondas are fast. I dont see why guys like this dont have any respect. I dont own a mazda anymore but still respect them and other cars. Im sure ill get flames for this one but lame comments like that bug me.
