What cars can a stock P5 beat?

i beat big suvs and trucks all the time i dont actually race em like pull em over and be like wanna race its u know where ull be at a stoplight next to the car and ull race across the light and it merges into a singel lane. i alwasy win unless its like a small v6 or a nicer 4 cylinder but i usally will beat the crap outta big v8s like suvs and trucks like usally the 250 and 300 fords. u know what i mean the half and full ton trucks always win. and they know ur racing them cus ull pull up and u know how some ones wants to race u through the light well around here u do its not uncommon. but if its big bulky heavy u can beat it to 60mph all the time but if its ur size u may have more trouble. just my experience. i love it.

I beat a 2003 Nissan Sentra 2.0 this morning. I was lined up at a stop light and about a 1/4 of a mile up the road it merges. Light went red,yellow, then green we gased at the same time. He wanted to get ahead of me because the street merges into a 1 lane. At about 3rd gear is where I pulled ahead of the Sentra about half a car link. That was neat then the first thing I thought of was posting on what cars a P5 could beat. All I have done to my 02 silver p5 is a Mazda speed exhaust and a Lineage Motorsport grounding kit.

Wow! where are you located to have those kinds of Stop Lights. I kinda like that whole rolling start option.

My co-worker has an 2003 sentra also, no mods automatic, and when we raced once I killed him (but this was going up a hill :-D). I think other wise it would be even, wouldn't it? But I always let off the gas once I hit 80mph, and he always thinks I'm still racing so he flies by (damn HWY patrol man, gotta watch out).

I've defeated a late model Lexus SC 300 on a 25-35mph rolling start, b**** was weaving through traffic most of the time and I decided to pull infront of him to piss him off. When I did that he changed back to the lane he was on and started to pull up against me, so I dropped to 2nd, and just left him. I looked at my rear view mirror, there he goes, goes back behind me and exits, knowing that he just got served! Yes I know he must have been a ****** up driver since the SC300's this must have been the 1993 model (I looked up cause I was like no way I beat him) has a V8 right? and like 200hp? But I know his was an automatic cause he had both of his hands on the wheel.

Who here, always tries to get off the line first during a stop? Cause I do it all the time cause I like to get up too the speed limit as fast as I can. People probably think I'm showing off all the time, when really I just want to hit the the speed limit and stay there. Is there a law where you have to slowly get to the speed limit? I've taken off the line and just leave everyone behind and get through a stop light before it even turns yellow, but never going past the speed limit. I'm sure to a cop it looks like I was speeding since I put so much space between me and the rest of the pack.

I do this all the time. I work on timing so the millisecond it goes green, left foot goes off brake, and right hits gas (auto). Even if a car's got more power than mine, a good start sometimes means the difference between a win and a lose. I also only go to the speed limit then maintain speed; you can always tell people who are pissed they got served by a wagon because they always fly past you at 10 over the limit.

Just remember to always look both ways before crossing a street. I know it's elementary but one time I hit gas on a green and I checked right, checked left, and saw a cop car flying at me from the left. I jammed on the brakes and he passed in front of me only about a foot away from my bumper. If I didn't look, who knows...

you know not all convertible mustangs are GTs, some convertibles are V6. Real GTs run about 14.5

GT vert will beat a P5 for sure. Still a mid 15 if its an auto.
