Man, we probably lived parallel lives during that time. I had a teg gsr too!!! and it had a similar setup like yours..except for the port and polish. Man I had fun with that car. I ordered a turbo kit for it and while it was in the mail, I let my sister drive it downtown one day to pay a bill and..BAM!! The car was hit by somebody trying to make a light before it turned red. All that work I did gone forever. Sold the turbo kit to a friend with a gsr and got an eclipse gsx..that's a whole new story..lol
That's awesome. I was very lucky to have this car as my first. Definetly taught me a few things about driving a semi-quick car at an early age. A few of my friends had DSM's at the same time, one had a 3g GST and another had a 2g GSX that was damn quick. I think everyone my age at that time underestimated the power of compression because I rolled everyone of them up consistantly. Back then if your car was turbo you were the s***, untill a little Honda ruined their morale... lol. But yeah, I would do anything to have that car back. It was flawless, type R wing, Black Mica with 6 coats of clear (I really like black mica!), and a set of Enkei seven spoke carbon gray wheels. I need to stop before I buy another one! I was planning on getting one as a project car and keeping some miles off of my MSP, but I think I will go with something RWD. Probably a S13.
