Dad gave me an interest free loan to buy a '94 GMC Jimmy. Paid it off working at a grocery store and then as an office janitor/shipping clerk. So I had help, but at the end I felt like I had sort of paid for it.

Nothing like cleaning up a big steaming pile of crap from the floor in the middle of a restroom to make you wonder if the car is worth it.


Of course it is.


Anyway, I sold that Jimmy to my sister at a greatly reduced price when I got a T/A and she promptly ran it into the ground

My sister did the same thing, though she is older (2 years), I was the one to hand down cars to her.

91 Dodge Spirit (175,000miles) went on a road trip to Vermont and didn't check the coolant and boom.

91 Plymouth Laser (probably 150,000) pretty much the same thing happened but not as bad, though the radiator went bad, and I replaced it with a junkyard pull but didn't replace the termistat in the junkyard one with a new or the one from the old radiator.. So it overheated pretty bad, never started again, probably warped the heads, but could have been as easy as torched plug wires too. I didn't care at that point though because I had a new car and was so sick of it, so just junked the car.

Me too! except I learned how to drive in the family truck, and got my own MP5 in Black Mica! It was the s*** till I crashed into a curb...still replacing parts!

yeah i didnt get the P5 until last november. my 16th birthday was in april. so i did most of my learning in the suv and truck we have. and then i got to drive my baby. i havent crashed it yet! -knocks on wood-

i just wish it came turboed....
