What are some good tires?

I'm thinking about getting new tires soon. I'm planning to get size 225-47-17's. Right now I'm leaning towards either BFGoodrich g-Force Sport's or Falken FK-451. Both are $100 each or less at Tires.com. Anybody have these tires? Pretty stiff sidewalls, good grip? Any suggestions?

i bought a set of goodyear eagle f1 gs-dw in the stock size and they are awesome all around tires. it freaking POURED here the other day and i have no problem doing 70 down the river, i mean highway. great in the dry too.

I recommend the G-force Sports. I ran those on my Mazda and was thoroughly impressed with the performance for the money. I've since upgraded to G-Force T/A KDW2's, though. I have yet to break traction on these even in water...

I use the Sumitomo HTR+. They are great all-season tires. They are on sale for 79 dollars. You wont find a better tire for the money. I've had four sets so far on different kinds of cars, and they are great.

I have the KDW2's and I love them. Good tread wear rating and they grip really well. Amazing wet traction too. that is all...carry on.

KDW2s are good in a line, but the sidewall were kinda weak IMO. I wouldn't recommend against them, but they weren't my favorite.

Go with 4 Goodyear F1 GS-D3's at www.tirerack.com for $88 each WITH a $100 rebate if you buy 4. Shipping was $40 for mine, meaning each tire net cost of about $73 SHIPPED for the 215/45/17 stock size, W rated (which is fast/stiff enough). Incredible tire. Mine ride nice, stick, and are great in the wet, quiet. A little softer in feel than my worn-out OE bridgestones, but then again they were worn out.

I ve had falken 451 for about 2000 miles and i like them better than the bg goodgrich sports. DID not like them at all very much and could not wait to wear them out so i could replace them. Were nopt good in wet weather...Had a spin out in them while they were fairly new and they feelt less confident than the bridgestones. Were sqealers. WAs going to take them back after I bought them.. Have had other tires from them and wasnt always impressed. For the money tires like the azenis and 451 have been a good value always. A little less mileage but alot better traction.

I love my 225/45 17 Pirelli P-Zero Nero! I had them also in the 215/45 OEM size and liked them a lot, but the 225 are better, fabulous indeed :)
I use 3mm spacers with stock rims just to make sure that there's no rubbing at all, besides the tire gets perfectly flush with the fenders

I just put some 225/45-17 Falken Azenis 615s on my car. Not sure what the offset of my wheels are, but they rub in the back. I rolled my fenders a bit and now there is no rubbing. They grip like they are never going to let go. I paid $488 shipped from www.vulcantire.com but had to wait for them as they were backordered. I LOOOOOOOVE them, too bad they will only last about two summers.
