Went to the track today...(pic and video)

So today was opening day here at our local track in Arkansas. Its only a 1000ft track so it kinda blows..but better then just having a 1/8 mile track.

My mods:
Cobb Intake
17 psi with turbosmart boost controller/ homeade map clamp
Stock tires

how long is 1000ft compared to the quarter mile? other then that, get some better front tires and u should smoke anything else u go against lol

A 1/4 mile is 1320 feet....At this track stock srt4 neons run 11.5-11.8. There was a stage 2 colbalt ss with 3in exhaust running drag radials running a 10.9 @99...

If it makes you feel any better I went to HRP and ran a pittiful 14.7 with a 2.65 60 foot. Wheel hop was pretty extreme and didn't feel like walking home so I did the best I could launching "nicely"

Yeah stock exhaust...my corksport test pipe is still on back order

finished in 4th or 5th? hopefully u shifted into 5th at like 92ish. btw ure 60 arnt bad at all, so dont be hard on ureself

yeah I was in 5th...

The first few runs I was finishing in 4th around 6100-6200rpms and I was only able to run 11.4-11.6...I picked up 2mph shifting into 5th...

My highest mph was 97.57...here is that slip.

Your 1/4 should be about 13.1- 13.3ish. Great Job! Just imagine if you had slicks / drags....You'll be running high 12's!

Man I was hoping to get into the 10's (1000') on street tires but I cannot launch the car. I just bought some autox slicks and some drag slicks and wheels should be next
