Well, now we know that COBB SRI's gonna take forever,

What would be the next choice so I can at least unleash and enjoy the potential of the turbo, without worrying about vapor lock and CEL?

(I see SRI's are "the best" and all, but if I can't have it for half a year that's not a good product, from a end consumer... sorry COBB)

Do you guys have any recommendation which you think it might make similar results and trouble-free as SRI?

Intake I'm looking for:

- Can be purchased NEW from a web store TODAY.
- Easy to install as SRI. Easy to put back in stock. (I'm hoping to find a short-type, not the CAI type)
- Does not throw CEL, or other problems.
- Looks somewhat professional as well as COBB SRI

I was looking at BEGI and HKS, I also heard you can make your own from K&N..? Is there way to modify stock box to gain power?

i own the hks sri and love it. you could also just buy a cai that is a two piece design and just run half of it. i.e the aem.

Definitely. Their CAI was a thing of beauty. SRI is being prototyped right now and finished pieces hopefully ready to ship out in a couple of weeks. Price unknown.

So nobody thinks BEGI's are good option? I actually like the look of near-stock feel and the heatshield.
I saw a thread somewhere the guy who bought it had to file down corners to make them fit, though.
I am thinking of HKS right now, it really stands out saying "I'm a tuner- I'm gonna get the hell out of this car!" when I bring my car to the service. Well, I guess it doesn't matter since it's aftermarket and all.

Nevermind, I'm going for CP-e. It was mentioned on other thread that it's gonna take a few weeks.

well i got the hks sri i did have the cpe cai but the weather here changes and i wanted to be able to drive somewhere and not worry about high water but its a good by i thank ken and the ppl at protegegarage for getting it out to me fast.

agreed go with the hks man, or wait for the cpe. cpe makes a great product and im hoping to find out the price fairly soon, with the supply and demand of the cobb sri i might be able to sell it for 230 shipped if i can and make a profit i will go for the cpe

lol i called su today to cancel my order they said cp-e might release in a month while cobb might not be in till january.
