I like that you look the time to gather your thoughts and state your opinion. that shows maturity. And while I agree with you that the church could do more, you cannot generalize all churches just based on this one. Who couldn't do more. Hardly anyone is doing all they can.
For all the crazy stuff some churches do, there are thousands of others that Feed the hungry, build homes for the homeless, travel around the world to bring relief to those suffering while spreading the message of christ. They just don't do it for attention. They do it because that is what God commanded of them. I know that I'm gunna get flamed for being a Christian but thats to be expected. I expect to be persecuted for my beliefs but I can just believe what I believe. I can explain to people why I believe what I believe but I can't change their minds.
I just want to thank you for gathering your thoughts and expressing them coherently and not resorting to calling some some derogatory or tell them that they don't have any rights as a forum member told be because I'm not a citizen and I'm just a permanent resident (don't worry, I corrected him)
Oh and take this advice from me: debate when done right is never pointless. Its great. But when we start calling each other names and insulting and degrading one another, thats when it becomes pointless.
