im starting to hear a weird noise anytime that i go over 40km/h. it doesnt get any louder the faster i go, but it is always there now. its kind of like a winding noise. very hard to explain.

my tires are getting very low on tread, so im just wondering if the stock tires start to make noise once the tread gets very low? or do i have another problem

My stock tires are very worn (new wheels and tires coming in the mail this week!) and they make a good amount of noise anytime I'm going faster than 30mph. Make sure your tires are properly inflated. Also check to see if they are beginning to wear into the wear indicators as that will cause a bit more noise.

cool thats what i thought the noise was too. just wanted to make sure. ill double check the tire pressure, and i guess its time for new tires soon

if its a woo woo woo noise and it goes away if u lift up your ebrake, you need to get your dif replaced.

its not really a woo woo noise. its just a constant noise. very hard to explain. but ill give the ebrake thing a try. so do i just engage the ebrake like on click while driving?

so i tried the pulling up on the e brake test today. and the noise was still there. since it sounds like its coming from everywhere i think it must be the tires. the tread is super low

Its a whiirrr sound at a specific speed and goes away if u drive faster or do not hit that specific speed. If the noise is still there after lifting the ebrake (enough for the light to come on) then your should be fine.

Could be your tires, have they been rotated and evenly worn front to back?

If one set of tires is more worn (mostly rear) u may hear lsd noise.

Check for leaks too, if not could be a wheel bearing.

the sound starts at about 40km/h and is constant from there up. it doesnt get much louder as i gofaster, but it sounds like its all around me.

i just went to my dealer and asked if they had anyone else come in about this noise. and he said that they did. it turned out to be the tires for that person. once they get really low they start to make a sound cause theyre close to the belt he said

for anyone still following this thread. the weird noise has been solved. its the front passenger side wheel bearing. i took it to my friend whose a mechanic and he said right away when he took it for a drive that its the wheel bearing.

so its going to cost 50$ and he said he would install it for free (:
